Tiger King Attacks

"Thank you, Marshal. I'll go make preparations at once!" Blue Poison Beast cupped his hands respectfully, then slowly withdrew.

After Blue Poison Beast left, Green Panther Beast asked worriedly, "Marshal, after we capture Energy City, do you really intend to hand Thunder Hall over to Blue Poison Beast?"

Tiger King laughed heartily. "Hahaha, of course not. Blue Poison Beast is a petty villain by nature. I've always been wary of him. How could I possibly hand Thunder Hall over to him?"

"Then what do you mean, Marshal?" Green Panther Beast asked curiously.

Tiger King plopped down in the seat of honor and sneered. "Once I take Energy City, Blue Poison Beast won't be of much use anymore. When the time comes, I'll find an opportunity to dispose of him."

"Marshal, you are wise!" Green Panther Beast echoed from the side.

Tiger King clenched his fist and laughed. "War is a dirty game, and I am a dirty player. Energy City is destined to remain in the palm of my hand."

What Tiger King and Green Panther Beast did not know was that Blue Poison Beast was eavesdropping outside the door. He snorted coldly. "Hmph, who gets the last laugh is still anyone's guess. Just you wait!"

A few days later, atop a floating training platform in Energy City, Tornado was sparring with Supersonic.

"Supersonic, this time, I'll let you see what I'm capable of!" Tornado said confidently.

During the previous battle, Tornado had failed to kill Green Panther Beast, but he had slain many Black Panther Beasts and leveled up. His confidence had soared.

Supersonic swung his greatsword and pointed it at Tornado. "You're nothing but a defeated opponent. So what if you leveled up once? You still can't beat me. But for your master's sake, I'll try to show mercy."

Supersonic was actually feeling miserable inside. During the battle, Xiao Zhen had kept him under control, making him deal only with Tiger King. He had barely killed any Black Panther Beasts. Otherwise, with his combat strength, he might have leveled up as well.

"Last time, I let you make the first move. This time, you can go first," Tornado said confidently.

"Hmph, what empty boasting!" As soon as Supersonic spoke, he leaped high into the air and slashed at Tornado, forcing him back several steps.

Supersonic immediately transformed into fighter jet mode and began spinning continuously through the sky, arrogantly declaring, "I dominate the heavens, and my enemies shall grovel beneath my feet. Tornado, today you will once again fall to me."

Supersonic unleashed a barrage at Tornado below. Tornado anxiously raised his twin blades to shield his face. Seizing the moment, Supersonic descended from the sky and unleashed his Sky-Rending Ice Chop.

"Take this, Tornado!" Supersonic shouted.

Caught somewhat unprepared, Tornado raised his twin blades before him and forcibly blocked the attack. The result was that he was sent flying more than ten meters before landing steadily.

Tornado slowly rose and stretched his limbs. The arrogance he had felt after leveling up had already vanished, and he began treating the opponent before him seriously.

"You've already made your move. Now it's my turn. Let me give you a taste of my ultimate technique!" Tornado shouted.

Energy suddenly erupted from within him. Tornado began sprinting at high speed, currents of electricity flashing across his twin blades as fierce winds whirled around him.

When he reached Supersonic, Tornado's twin blades came crashing down. It was his ultimate technique, Lightning Cyclone Slash.

Supersonic showed no fear. Gripping his greatsword, he slashed directly at Tornado's twin blades. Yet after the clash, it was Supersonic who was forced back several steps.

"So you do have some skill. Did you not use your full strength last time?" Supersonic asked gravely.

During their previous duel, Supersonic could clearly sense that Tornado had not been this strong. Could leveling up really increase one's combat strength so dramatically?

Tornado shook his head and explained, "I didn't hold back last time. I simply wasn't used to Blizzard City's environment, which was why you beat me so easily."

"Hahaha!" Supersonic laughed loudly. "If that's the case, then let's have a good fight today."

The two immediately plunged back into battle. Their weapons clashed repeatedly, producing thunderous sounds and showers of sparks.

Xiao Zhen asked somewhat boredly, "Lightning City Lord, who do you think is stronger between the two of them?"

Lightning, standing beside him, replied wistfully, "Their strength is about equal, so it will be difficult to determine a winner anytime soon. Watching them reminds me of the days when Blizzard and I sparred. Ah, but times have changed."

Seeing the melancholy Lightning City Lord beside him, Xiao Zhen did not quite know what to do. He had not expected Lightning to become such a gloomy middle-aged man after learning of Blizzard's death.

Just then, a tremendous roar sounded in the sky. A purple helicopter descended beside Xiao Zhen and Lightning City Lord.

He was Energy City's armed squadron captain. The moment he landed, he hurriedly reported, "Reporting to the City Lord and Lord Mecha King, a large force of Black Panther Beasts has been spotted outside the city."

"Mm!" Lightning solemnly declared, "The enemy is attacking. Everyone, return to your combat positions immediately and prepare for battle!"

Upon hearing that the enemy had arrived, the people who had been sparring hurried into action and began preparing for battle.

Before long, on an aerial platform, Xiao Zhen and the other high-ranking officers watched the Black Panther Beast army below.

Tiger King stood at the forefront. It seemed that he had recovered from his injuries over the past few days. He was full of vigor now, with no trace of the wretched state he had been in just days ago.

"Tiger King, you finally came!" Lightning said solemnly.

"Yes, sorry to keep you waiting so long. I didn't die. Are you disappointed?" Tiger King sneered.

"Very disappointed. It seems Wild Star wasn't strong enough. He actually let you escape," Xiao Zhen mocked.

At the sight of the familiar Xiao Zhen, Tiger King did not fly into a rage at once. Instead, he said meaningfully, "But how could a brat like you, or that big idiot Wild Star, possibly take the life of Tiger King?"

He then turned to Lightning City Lord and said pointedly, "Lightning, this brat claims to be the Mecha King. Is that true?"

"That is none of your business. Stop prying into such matters!" Lightning rebuked him.

"Hahaha!" Tiger King laughed loudly. "I simply feel that it isn't worth it for you. A group of hulking giants, yet you insist on listening to a little brat. I truly don't know what to say about you."

Lightning shouted, "Tiger King, stop trying to sow discord here. He is the Mecha King, so we respect him and follow his orders. Stop trying to shake our morale!"

Tiger King narrowed his eyes. So that brat truly was the Mecha King. Since it had come from a City Lord like Lightning, it was probably not false. Now that the Motorcycle Clan had a Mecha King, they would surely become more united than ever. Capturing Energy City would likely become even more difficult.

But no matter how difficult it became, Energy City was his for the taking. Even the Mecha King would not be able to stop him.

Tiger King waved his hand, and a leader stepped out from the Black Panther Beast army. Xiao Zhen looked closely and saw that it was actually a Purple Panther Beast. His mouth twitched several times as he muttered, "Just how many Purple Panther Beasts does Tiger King have under him? There seem to be quite a lot. Could Purple Panther Beasts be mass-produced too?"

The Purple Panther Beast arrogantly declared, "I am the captain of the Black Panther Assault Team. Which of you dares come down and die?"

Tornado grew excited. This Purple Panther Beast captain probably had plenty of upgrade energy. Carrying his twin sabers, Tornado was just about to go down and kill him when he was stopped by the armed squadron captain who had reported the news earlier.

"Tornado, there's no need to use a butcher's knife to kill a chicken. Let me handle him!" He then shouted down at the Purple Panther Beast, "I am the captain of Energy City's armed squadron. Since we are both captains, it's only fitting that we fight."

Tornado considered it, then took a step back. Though he desperately wanted to catch up to Supersonic in level, he still had to give others a chance.
