Severing the Spiritual Vein; Flying Star Sect. The Mirage Dragon Awakens; the Grotto-Heaven Opens

Above Heaven Earth Peak, a hazy phantom spread across the sky like a vast canopy.

Any cultivator with a little knowledge realized what it was.

A Primordial Spirit!

The longevity pursued through Qi Refining was the eternal life of the spirit.

Thus, cultivators refined essence into qi, refined qi into spirit, and steadily built their Divine Soul Foundation within the scattered depths of the Consciousness Sea.

But in the end, the divine soul was insubstantial and yin in nature. It could not face the Might of Heaven and Earth directly. At most, a cultivator could project a little of it outward as what was called Spiritual Sense or Divine Sense.

But!

Once a cultivator reached the Nascent Soul Realm, the divine soul would combine with the body's essence, qi, and mana to give birth to that peculiar thing called a Nascent Soul.

The Nascent Soul symbolized the Three Treasures Unification of Essence, Qi, and Spirit!

It could temporarily house the divine soul, giving it a place to stay after it left the Consciousness Sea.

At this point, however, its symbolic value outweighed its practical use. Without the shelter of the Purple Mansion, a bare Nascent Soul still dared not linger beneath the open sky and blazing sun.

And so cultivators pursued Yin Soul Crossing Yang, seeking to transform their insubstantial yin state into a solid yang one.

Once they reached the Yang Solid Realm, the divine soul could merge completely into the Nascent Soul body. At that point, it was no longer called a Nascent Soul, but a Primordial Spirit!

The outward manifestation of a cultivator's divine soul was no longer called Divine Sense, either, but Divine Thought.

And this realm, taken as a whole, was called "Spirit Transformation"!

It was a fundamental change.
