After a long silence, Venerable Thunder finally spoke in a deep voice. "If things are truly as you say, then I have one condition: that kid must die! And he must die by my hand."

Seeing that the old fellow had finally relented, the black-robed man's tone carried a hint of delight. "Naturally. But I trust Venerable Thunder knows the ways of our Soul Hall. That kid's soul belongs to Soul Hall."

"Agreed!"

With that, neither side said anything more. The black-robed man bowed slightly and laughed sinisterly. "Then we shall meet in the Pill Region twenty days from now. I hope Venerable Thunder will not be late."

After leaving those words behind, the space beside the two Black Robed Men began to ripple. A passage appeared and enveloped them both. Once it completely concealed them, the spatial fluctuations swiftly vanished, along with their auras.

Venerable Thunder rose to his feet and turned to look at the peak of Wind Thunder Mountain Range behind him. For some reason, he had always felt that fewer bolts of Thunder had fallen recently. Even the spiritual energy within the Wind Thunder Mountain Range seemed to have diminished. He had personally investigated it, yet found no issue, so he could only set the matter aside for the time being.

Still, he vaguely sensed something ominous.

"What exactly is Soul Hall trying to do?"

Soul Hall's arrival today had caught him off guard, and he had no desire to have too much contact with that mysterious faction.
