Xiao Heng frowned. How was that possible? If he stayed here and waited until he could defeat this man, who knew how long it would take? By then, it would be too late.

Xiao Heng remained silent, and the Second Elder was unwilling to yield. If it were anyone else, not only would he not stop them, he would even encourage them to go out and gain experience. But Xiao Heng was different. He had already experienced enough. For now, staying within the clan was the best outcome for him—or at least, that was what the Second Elder believed.

The two fell silent, and several elders were similarly unwilling to speak. They were basically unwilling to let the kid go out, but if they did not let him go, he did not seem like someone whose mind could be easily changed.

The Third Elder, however, seemed to see through Xiao Heng's thoughts. He coughed twice, drawing everyone's attention before speaking. "Isn't it just that the kid wants to go out? It's not such a big deal, nor is there anything to worry about. Look at him—he's spent over twenty years out there already, hasn't he? And he's doing quite well. Letting him continue traveling outside isn't anything serious."

"Besides, everyone has their own path. Why should you stop someone from walking theirs? Didn't we old men fight our way forward step by step back then? Didn't we survive? If we could do it, this kid should be fine too."

The crowd still remained silent. It was precisely because they had walked that path that they knew how dangerous it was. There had been quite a few people traveling alongside them back then, but now only a handful had successfully made it through. The rest had all fallen along the way.
