Cao Ying stepped out of the gray mist, her gaze sweeping across the open space before her before finally settling on the white-haired figure.
"I thought I would be the fastest. I never expected it to be Mr. Xiao Heng. It seems Mr. Xiao Heng is even stronger than I imagined." She slowly approached Xiao Heng, suppressing the surprise in her heart as she smiled softly.
"I only came out a little while ago. I was just lucky." Xiao Heng smiled casually, though there was little amusement in his eyes. What had just happened made him miss home somewhat.
After that, the two exchanged a few pleasantries, speaking of things that seemed irrelevant while subtly probing each other.
Time slowly passed, and another person emerged from the gray mist. He was a rather handsome young man. His eyes first swept over Cao Ying, but when he saw how pleasantly the two seemed to be chatting, a flash of anger immediately appeared on his face, though he quickly suppressed it.
Song Qing strode over and stopped beside Cao Ying, smiling lightly. "As expected, Ying'er was the first."
"Oh! You are mistaken about that. The first one out was not me, but Mr. Xiao Heng." Cao Ying's smile bloomed like a flower as her gaze lightly passed over Song Qing before settling on Xiao Heng.
Song Qing was burning with rage, not merely because he had arrived later. He had always regarded Cao Ying as his own forbidden possession, and seeing how familiar and intimate she seemed with Xiao Heng stirred a trace of killing intent in his heart. Still, he concealed it well.
He smiled and cupped his hands. "So you are Mr. Xiao Heng. I am Song Qing. A pleasure to meet you."
Xiao Heng casually glanced at the fellow.
