In the chaos, she grabbed the keys from a guard's corpse and broke out of the cell, slitting the throat of anyone who blocked her escape. Watching her enemies writhe and die in agony fully awakened the darkness within Maki's heart.
After disappearing for a few years, she reemerged as a world-class female assassin, calling herself Lady Bullseye.
Though she went by Lady Bullseye, she had little real connection to Bullseye. When Bullseye was killed by Daredevil, she was the one who collected his body.
Later, she was forced into scientific experiments, gaining the ability to turn her body into gas.
In the zombie world, she too became zombified and joined the invasion of the Ape Universe, where she was burned to ashes by the Ape Universe's Ape Human Torch.
Simply put, another ruthless female villain with no moral bottom line!
Su Quan found himself drawn to villains, or rather, he was very willing to recruit and take them in.
Dotty Underwood, White Queen, Mr. Negative, various versions of Loki, and so on.
Though they had all sorts of dark sides and twisted personalities, that was precisely what made them real.
Flawless people were the exception, not the norm.
Steve Rogers—that upright, morally pure saint—wasn't human; he was a god!
You could worship him, admire him, even entrust him with your life.
Whether you were good or bad, if you were in danger, he would save you, even at the cost of his own life!
If you did something to save the world or help others—just once, even—he might think you were still worth redeeming!
When villains did evil, failure only got them caught, then they'd escape, get caught again, escape again—
As long as life went on, the trouble never stopped.
Heroes were like simps—hurt over and over, forgiven every time.
So, heroes were great!
Heroes were bound by rules; villains were given free rein.
If a hero did one bad thing, all their past good deeds were forgotten.
If a villain did one good thing, all their past evil deeds were forgiven.
Heroes fought villains to prevent greater harm to the people, yet the people didn't blame the villains—they turned around and sued the heroes, complaining about the losses the heroes caused them.
Heh.
Human nature was really something, wasn't it?
"You really want to follow me?"
Su Quan looked at Maki Matsumoto, her face full of nervous anticipation, and smiled as he rubbed her hair, which looked like it hadn't been washed in days.
Maki Matsumoto blushed slightly and nodded firmly. "As long as I can follow you, I'll do anything."
"Anything?"
"Yes."
"Then make me a plate of Braised Pork Belly."
"..."
That turn came out of nowhere!
Braised Pork Belly?
I... I don't know how!
Maki Matsumoto's face flushed bright red, while White Queen and Dotty Underwood couldn't help but burst into laughter.
Even though those two old fossils had no idea what Braised Pork Belly was, they could tell it was a dish!
The girl meant she'd be your servant, do anything you asked—and you had to go and ask her to cook.
Really, you never knew what to say with him; he was always unpredictable.
"Alright, I'll stop teasing you. If you want to follow me, you're not qualified yet."
Su Quan smiled and looked at White Queen and Dotty Underwood. "She's yours. Train her well—she has good talent."
With that, Su Quan teleported straight back into the cargo ship's hold.
Dotty Underwood and White Queen were already used to it.
Though shocked, Maki Matsumoto remained relatively composed, only glancing at the cargo ship with even more burning admiration.
Captain's Room.
Hearing the door open, Ward Meachum sat like a prisoner awaiting Judgment, nervously bracing for the verdict that would decide his fate.
Though he couldn't see what was happening outside, the gunfire had stopped. His mind was a mess, unable to guess what had happened.
"Joy?"
Female Winter Soldier pushed a brown-haired woman inside.
"Brother."
Joy Meachum called out excitedly, but Ward Meachum's face turned pale as he avoided her, snarling like an angry hound at Female Winter Soldier.
"Why did you bring her here? Where's your boss? Call him over! No—tell him he can name any price, as long as he doesn't kill us."
The Female Winter Soldier remained unmoved, turned around, and closed the door, preparing to leave.
"Wait, let Joey go, let my sister go. Kill me, kill me alone—that's enough."
"Bastard! Are you even listening to me? I said, kill me alone—that's enough!"
Ward Meachum's hysterical outburst left Joey Meachum stunned. She had never seen her brother like this...
Was she about to die?
Joey Meachum looked at her brother and suddenly realized she wasn't as afraid as she thought.
"Death isn't scary; forgetting is the final farewell. Remember the ones you love and the ones who loved you."
Su Quan pushed the door open and swept his gaze over Joey Meachum.
Rich girls sure had good nutrition—still underage, and her legs were already that long.
"You—if you're going to kill someone, kill me. Spare my sister, I'm begging you!"
Ward Meachum's plea was bitter and desperate.
A selfish, cold-blooded man who dared to kill his own father, yet willing to risk everything to save his sister—from a moral standpoint, that was his one redeeming quality.
Of course, it might also be because he was still young, not yet corrupted by power and ambition.
"A person dies three times in their life."
"The first time is when they stop breathing—biologically, they're dead."
"The second time is at their burial, when people come to mourn and remember their life—socially, they're dead."
"The third time is when the last person who remembers them forgets—that's when they truly die."
"Death isn't the end of life; forgetting is!"
Su Quan looked at the increasingly silent Ward Meachum, thought for a moment, and spoke.
"If you're willing to give me 50 billion, I'll make sure Thor brings thunder and lightning, rolling storms, and howling winds at your funeral."
"Five thousand Asgardian Valkyries on flying horses will circle above your coffin."
"On the ground, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Professor X, Phoenix, Apocalypse, Wolverine, Thanos, Loki, Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange, Iceman, Human Torch, Magneto, White Queen, Black King, and others will stand in silent mourning."
"Outside the universe, 50,000 spaceships from the Guardians of the Galaxy will set off Yondu-style fireworks for you."
"The One Above All will host the ceremony, and the Living Tribunal will carry your coffin."
"Then they'll quietly leave."
"Making everyone in attendance wonder if you once saved the multiverse!"

When he heard 'if you're willing to give me 50 billion,' the despairing Ward Meachum saw a glimmer of dawn, hope rekindling.
But then—
Thor, Asgardian Valkyries, Professor X—he'd never heard of any of them!
Clearly, the guy was bullshitting, mocking him!
"Is it fun to toy with someone you're about to kill?"
Ward Meachum looked at Su Quan with a sarcastic laugh. A man about to die—does that make him bold?
Su Quan shrugged with a grin. "A lot happened today. I'm just using you to kill time and relax. What, you got a problem?"
Ward Meachum's eyes darted around, his clever brain taking back control.
Something was off. Very off.
If he really agreed to those people to kill him and his sister, to avoid trouble down the line, he'd have done it already. Why would he have the mood to mess with him?
