Straight to the point.
Oh wait, as titled.
The apartment upstairs and nearby have been under renovation for quite a few days now.
Electric drills start up early in the morning and go all the way into the evening. I originally thought Saturday and Sunday would be a bit better, but to my surprise, it was still a sky-full of electric drills and wall-smashing noises. I haven't slept well in days, and now I'm in a daze, dozing off even while walking. This led to a bit of filler in what I wrote these past two days, and once my backlog ran out, everything collapsed.
That said, I complained a few times and it seems nobody gave a damn...
After all, normal people all go to work early in the morning, and don't need to grind away at writing~
I vaguely remember a long, long time ago, when I was a programmer in Beijing renting a civilian house, working by day and only being able to write when I got back at night. Every day in that rental, in a room with virtually non-existent soundproofing, I would write amid the storm-swept gunfire of the young couples next door.
It was quite pleasant back then... oh, it was quite annoying back then too, making me think that I must never rent an apartment again in the future. Little did I expect that after all these years, my life would actually be going backward.
The sounds of gunfire have turned into electric drills, oh life...
Ahem.
I'll strive to crawl out of bed earlier tomorrow to write, and I feel like my full-attendance bonus for this month can still be saved.
