After four years on Mount Paozu, Jiang Qianhai agreed to accompany Sun Wukong to the World Martial Arts Tournament on Snail Island, though he refused to compete. There, Lazuli joined them and confronted him about the promise he had made to her, while Kame Sennin and the others arrived.

• Jiang Qianhai packed up his home on Mount Paozu and agreed to go with Sun Wukong to the tournament after declining Sun Wukong's invitation to compete.
• Jiang Qianhai and Sun Wukong arrived at Snail Island and spotted the aircraft carrying Kame Sennin, Krillin, Bulma, Tenshinhan, and Chaozu.
• Jiang Qianhai invited Lazuli to the tournament, and she hurriedly asked about registration and the three-million prize.
• Lazuli reminded Jiang Qianhai of his birthday promise, said his mother had agreed to their marriage, and kissed him on the cheek.

The next flame he caught willingly let itself be devoured, but yielded almost no benefit, and the system told him he had been skunked.

• Jiang Qianhai caught and devoured a flame that could reduce targets from three dimensions to two, gaining Dimensional Erasure and advancing to mid Golden Immortal.
• After Zhu Zhuqing reminded him about Lazuli, Jiang Qianhai returned to Douluo Star and spent a month outside, or thirty years in a Hyperbolic Time Chamber, with his wives.
• Jiang Qianhai went back to the void, reopened the Universal Amplification Device, and reached late Golden Immortal during a year of waiting.
• A second flame drifted toward the Zhurong Book, and Jiang Qianhai restrained it before urging the book to devour it.

After a thousand years of cultivation and waiting, Jiang Qianhai fought Lu Ya and helped Hongjun seize control of the Heavenly Dao, only to expose Hongjun’s crimes to the Great Dao. The Great Dao condemned Hongjun, but its response sounded like Jiang Qianhai’s system.

• After a thousand years in seclusion, Lu Ya set out to confront Jiang Qianhai, and both men tried to ambush each other before recognizing they were evenly matched.
• Jiang Qianhai killed Lu Ya during their battle, giving Hongjun an opening to strike the Heavenly Dao and declare himself its replacement.
• Jiang Qianhai remembered that he was Di Jiang, then used a Great Dao Direct Admonishment Talisman to report Hongjun’s crimes to the Great Dao.
