The kids were happily placated just like that and began looking forward to going to the TV station to meet celebrities.
Kids were just like that. As long as something new came along, they immediately forgot whatever had upset them before.
Conan propped his chin up with one hand and stared out the car window, his eyes full of gloom.
No one knew what he was thinking about.
Near evening, just as night was falling and around the TV station's mid-show break, Fujino called Yoko Okino.
As soon as the call connected, Yoko asked somewhat anxiously, "So, how are those kids...?"
"They're pretty happy."
"Huh?"
Yoko was completely thrown off and could not understand what that meant.
How could those kids possibly be happy?
Shouldn't they have been hanging their heads in disappointment, maybe even throwing tantrums?
Something was off...
Fujino calmly explained, "Didn't you say you couldn't take the kids to the Kamen Rider set?"
"That's right..."
"So I thought, since they were going to the TV station anyway, even if they couldn't see Kamen Rider, they could see something else, right?"
"Once I suggested that, they got interested again. Even if they can't see Kamen Rider, they still want to tour the TV station, see the female weather host, famous singers, and so on."
"I see. Just as expected of you."
Yoko chuckled, sincerely feeling that way.
She felt that Fujino really understood how to handle children.
She had not refused because bringing the kids over would be troublesome. It was simply because Kamen Rider's filming schedule was genuinely tight.
If she had found them troublesome, she would not have invited them in the first place.
