Those people had headed for the back of the group.
More precisely, they were after Miss Hayakawa.
This group had obviously come to snatch the diary, but they had not expected Fujino to have already put it away.
The little ones, however, were ridiculously naive.
Rather than dodging when they saw the men rushing over, they stepped forward and shielded Miss Hayakawa behind them.
They looked like hunters spotting their prey.
Even Fujino was a little dumbfounded.
"Compared to that university student, aren't you elementary school kids just throwing yourselves to the wolves by stopping them?"
He grumbled inwardly before grabbing his Wooden Sword and charging forward in a single stride.
First, he swung the Wooden Sword into one of the suited men's abdomen.
Naturally, the man was no match for Fujino's strength.
After colliding with the Wooden Sword, he was sent flying backward, smashing into a car at the rear of the parking lot. He shattered the windshield, his head plunging straight into the driver's compartment.
"He flew off already? I haven't even had enough yet..."
"Lucky bastard."
That thought flashed through Fujino's mind in an instant.
Then, he silently pulled an Electric Baton from his Pocket Dimension with his right hand.
Yep, a real Electric Baton—the kind shaped like a baton, except it had electricity running through it.
Physical crowd control in his left hand, magical damage in his right.
With both hands armed, Fujino turned and charged at another suited man. He struck the man's head with the Wooden Sword to avoid sending him flying from excessive force, then viciously rammed the Electric Baton into his stomach.
With a squelch, the Electric Baton actually pierced the suited man's flesh and reached his abdominal muscles.
Then came a crackling "Bzzzt!"
The suited man convulsed all over and collapsed
