Background / History

Lord Tongtian is the master of the Intercepting Sect and a Primordial Sage whose Dao centers on Sky-Severing: cutting through shackles, karmic restraints, and predestined order. He bears longstanding resentment toward the Heavenly Dao’s treatment of living beings and views its order as a dead end rather than salvation. 25 31

He recognizes Cheng Xi as a soul from another world carrying a Chaos Artifact and identifies him as a crucial “variable” within the coming tribulation. Rather than erase this anomaly, Tongtian tests Cheng Xi’s Dao Heart through the Biyou Heart Questioning and ultimately guides him toward the path of Intercepting Heaven. 25 31

His defiance draws the direct attention of Dao Ancestor Hongjun.
