Xi Edwen and her group headed west with the noble maiden.
The eastern cities and regions had already fallen into the rebels' hands, so they would not recklessly venture there.
The noble maiden remained very quiet along the way, silently following them.
After crossing a vast stretch of land, they heard cavalry hooves once again and quickly found somewhere to hide. This time, however, the cavalry came from the west, not the rebel-held eastern territories.
The noble maiden spotted the Knight Order's emblem, and her eyes immediately lit up. It was her uncle's Knight Order.
Nobles often intermarried, so their ties ran deep. She had originally planned to flee to her uncle, but she had encountered rebel cavalry pursuing her instead.
"It's my uncle's Knight Order!" The noble maiden rushed out of the woods and waved at the rapidly approaching cavalry.
The cavalryman at the front swiftly pulled on his reins. "Who goes there?"
"It's me! Uncle! It's me!" The noble maiden waved as she ran toward them.
The noble leading them took one look and realized the person running toward him was his niece. Judging by her disheveled state, she had clearly suffered something.
Seeing that the maiden knew these cavalrymen, Xi Edwen and the others stopped hiding and slowly emerged from the woods behind her.
"What happened?"
"Dad, Mom, all of them were killed by the rebels! Those rebels captured the western cities. The cities along the Little Yin River may all have fallen into their hands."
"Have those black mage rebels still not been dealt with? Didn't the other regions organize an army of ten thousand men?" The noble on horseback considered this carefully. He had originally only intended to take advantage of the chaos, leading his Knight Order to plunder through the gaps in the northern
