A New Round of Battle

Time flew by.

In March of Imperial Calendar 219, the First Princess and the Prince once again gathered their armies, preparing to fight over the imperial capital region.

Mel learned of this from scouts on the front lines and knew that her opportunity had come.

Because the Gard Empire had trains, information actually traveled quite quickly even without harpy scouts.

Now they needed to decide on a direction for their deployment. Looking at the map, there were five cities along the Second River. Sender City in the north was actually a mixed settlement of beastmen and the demi-human race, so it was not particularly important strategically.

Siduni, west of Matte City, was an isolated city, but it possessed a vast amount of farmland and was an extremely prosperous territory. Taking it would be quite worthwhile.

Then there were the three connected cities. From west to east, they were Xis City, Zhongsi City, and Dongsi City. No matter which city they attacked, the others could support it, so they would need to move quickly.

In terms of difficulty, attacking the isolated city of Siduni was clearly easier.

Pond, Grev, the bearfolk general, and Saik—the four commanding generals—were currently making plans together with Mel, their commander.
