The Orcs' End

Having rescued these people from the slave owners, Mel did not linger and continued south.

This small incident was merely a reflection of this great era.

Through military strength, Carlos had expanded the empire to an unprecedented extent, but problems followed one after another. Human slave owners across the land still harbored rebellious intentions.

When Carlos freed the slaves, he had not only offended the nonhuman races, but also the entitled beneficiaries among humanity. And those entitled beneficiaries among humans often had substantial resources accumulated.

"Without uniting every force available, victory cannot be achieved. Yet uniting every force that can be united will fundamentally change things because there are too many factions."

Mel flew onward until he crossed two mountain ranges and once again saw people being pursued.

This time, a human squad was chasing orcs.

One of them rushed forward and knocked the orc maiden to the ground. "Run! Let's see where you can run now!"

"No, please spare me! We already left our homeland. Why are you still unwilling to let us go?" The orc maiden knelt on the ground and pleaded with the humans before her.

"Hmph! Stubborn bastards like you should be wiped out completely!"

Just as the man was about to strike, a companion beside him stopped him. But the man who intervened had no good intentions either. He simply wanted to have some fun before killing the orc maiden.

The two men exchanged lewd grins, then pinned the orc maiden down and began tearing at her clothes.

Most of the maiden's body resembled that of a human. She merely had orc ears and a tail, so she appeared to be from the Cat race.

Mel could no longer stand the sight, so he stepped in again. "All of you, stop!"
