In short, cooperating with Kingpin was like seeking the skin of a tiger. Rimuru silently came to that conclusion.
Of course, that was true for everyone else.
For the two people in the car now, however, it was Kingpin who had witnessed Ruksinth and Rimuru's abilities four years ago. From the very beginning, he knew... perhaps he was the one truly seeking the skin of a tiger.
Kingpin hated superheroes. Especially in the future, he would come to utterly despise a certain little Spider-Man!
At this point in time, though, the one giving him headaches probably was not their friendly neighborhood hero, but Daredevil and the Man Without Fear.
If the heroes of the Avengers were ultimate weapons that only responded to incidents threatening world security or matters involving national-level threats, then they would not normally cross paths with gang bosses like Kingpin.
After all, everyone knew that in a capitalist society, black and white often belonged to the same side.
Nick Fury would not deploy nuclear weapons against an underworld boss capable of maintaining order in the United States. And Spider-Man, the friendly neighborhood hero famous for fighting crime and helping people with small matters, did not join the Avengers until it was time to fight Thanos.
Before that, Spider-Man's main target had been Kingpin.
But hatred was one thing. Precisely because of that, Kingpin understood just how terrifying those people who could casually destroy heaven and earth truly were.
What was more, Rimuru had displayed the ability to appear and disappear anywhere at any time.
Neither spoke again in the car. Both were sorting through their thoughts.
Only after they reached their destination and returned to the top floor of the familiar building did Rimuru take a deep breath with a sigh, then chuckle. "Where are my subordinates?"
