"You're here." A mental wave far weaker than before entered Xia Tianling's mind. It was the Golden Bi'an, whose sanity had returned.
"Senior, how can I save you?"
The Bi'an shook its head with difficulty. "Falling to such a degree is basically irreversible. Moreover, nearly all of my origin power has already been exhausted in resisting the corruption. No medicine can save me."
Xia Tianling dispelled his Martial Soul Possession and stood there numbly.
The Bi'an before him was about to perish, and a sorrowful emotion rose from his bloodline.
"Though this world is weak, fragile, and full of flaws, its rules are quite interesting. My end is near, so I'll leave you something interesting."
"Something interesting?"
The Bi'an offered no explanation. It merely raised its remaining left claw, slowly lifted Xia Tianling, and pressed his forehead against its own.
"Inheritance."
Familiar words rang out. Unlike the previous mental transmissions, this was the first time in a long while that the Bi'an had truly spoken aloud.
For a moment, the light around the Bi'an blazed brilliantly, all of it gathering within its opened Third Spirit Eye.
The divine eye on the Bi'an's forehead became a bridge linking man and beast. A vast amount of Golden Light flowed along that path and entered Xia Tianling's body.
Xia Tianling's consciousness grew hazy. He felt as though a Great Bell of Honglu was humming within his mind, while grand heavenly voices echoed around it, speaking words he could not understand.
That voice was majestic, yet filled with unwavering righteousness.
"Bearer of my father's bloodline, make good use of this power." Another mental wave came from the Bi'an.
Then, its massive body suddenly began to burn. The last trace of black qi surrounding it was completely washed away by the golden flames.
