Phew. With the last word typed, this book had finally reached its end.
The whole book ran to 3.85 million words. It was launched in March 2021, and now it was August 2023—nearly two and a half years.
Here, I still wanted to thank everyone for your companionship and support along the way.
Many of you had supported me since my first book, Imperial Dragon's Awakening. I was truly grateful for your patronage.
This book was a Battle Through the Heavens fanfiction. At the beginning, I had actually only wanted to write Battle Through the Heavens.
Later on, though, many of you strongly called for it, so I added the Martial Universe arc and the Great Thousand World arc.
Since the outline was added afterward, many aspects did not mesh well. That was why the latter part of this book became quite padded out; I knew that myself.
Toward the end, my passion for writing waned, and I took more leaves of absence. That was my problem.
I also wanted to apologize to everyone here. After all, the experience of following the updates in the later stages was probably not very good.
Yet many of you still followed the updates all the way to the end. I was very grateful, and also deeply ashamed.
However, this book's problems would not be carried into the next one.
The next book would probably be a Douluo Dalu II fanfiction.
It would be a pure Douluo Dalu II fanfiction, without any other worlds added in.
For the next book, I would do my best not to pad things out and to write it more tightly.
The word count also would not be as long as this book's. At 3.85 million words, this was the longest book I had ever written.
