Wen Leyu and Li Ye spent several days tidying up the rooms in the manor and taking delivery of the two Bentleys that had finally arrived.
Then Teacher Ke's call came. Her flight would arrive tomorrow.
Wen Leyu put down the phone and stared blankly at Li Ye. After a long while, she said, aggrieved and reproachful, "Tell me honestly. Did you leak the news?"
Li Ye pursed his lips and gave an awkward smile. "I didn't ask Auntie Ke to come, but when we talked on the phone on New Year's Eve, I told her our family was worth hundreds of millions."

Wen Leyu was so angry that she paced wildly around the room, cursing as she went. "You really can't keep a word in your belly,
If she asked, you just told her? What rich family doesn't keep their money tucked away? But you, you spilled everything in one go. Have you forgotten those five thousand dollars?"
Back when Li Ye first said he had earned ten thousand dollars in royalties, he had handed five thousand of them over to Teacher Ke.
At the time, Wen Leyu had chased after Teacher Ke and grumbled for half the night, insisting, "You took our money."
Watching the usually quiet and steady girl growl like a little cat protecting its food, Li Ye could not help finding it amusing.
He smiled and explained, "We didn't lose out on those five thousand dollars. Besides, if Auntie Ke wanted my money, it meant she didn't see me as an outsider. She wouldn't even take someone else's money.
"And times have changed. Believe it or not, even if you put five million or fifty million in front of your mother now, she wouldn't so much as
