Hearing that, Snow Maiden raised her little fists and hammered them against Chen Cheng's chest.
"You heartless little brat! Brother Octopus died for you, and not only are you not sad at all, you're even fussing over my snot.
I'll smear it, I'll smear it! I'll count it as avenging Brother Octopus."
As she spoke, Snow Maiden really was about to blow her nose and smear it on him. Chen Cheng immediately raised his hands in surrender.
"Don't, don't, don't. I never said Brother Octopus was dead. You were the one saying that all along."
Snow Maiden wiped away her tears. Though she and Brother Octopus had spent most of their time inside the pocket, ever since Brother Octopus had been willing to use his scant Divine Power to make her a life-saving Magic Crystal, he had already become her best companion.
So this time, she did not mind that Chen Cheng had fooled her. Instead, she stared at him with wide eyes, waiting for him to continue.
