Long Voyage

The sea was calm in the early morning, and the early-rising seagulls began their morning hunt.

Sharp avian eyes stared fixedly at the placid surface. Then came a dive, bursting through the spray as sharp beaks snatched away fish rising from the depths.

Across that tranquil sea, a sailing ship came cleaving through the waves like a speedboat.

And following in its wake was not only the rolling water, but also the unceasing sound of vomiting.

Chen Cheng and the others were all landlubbers; they had never been on a ship before, especially not one this fast.

After only a few jolts, no matter how strong their constitutions were, they could not suppress the instinctive nausea.

Fortunately, they had risen early and had not had time for breakfast. Otherwise, it would have been even more unbearable.

At this moment, Chen Cheng and the others were all like salted fish, leaning against the railings or sprawled across the deck.

Once the rocking became too much and the urge to vomit rose up, they simply stuck their heads overboard and threw up wildly.

Jelina steadied the helm, determined their course, and then handed the task of steering over to the Sasa sisters.

Fortunately, Chen Cheng had chosen to charge ahead at full speed using magical energy in order to make good time, so Jelina and the other two were enough.

Jelina came to the stern and saw everyone lying on the deck like corpses. She smiled and said,

"Do you all still have the things I told you to collect yesterday? Take out the Bubblefish swim bladders from among them. Eating them might make you feel better."

Chen Cheng untied the Space Bag at his waist, rummaged through it, and pulled out a bundle of the Bubblefish swim bladders Jelina had mentioned.
