Inside a room aboard the enormous tower ship, Chen Cheng watched the guards leave through a crack, then carried Sean into an inner chamber.
"Don't shout, if you value your life."
Chen Cheng leaned close to Sean's ear and warned him in a low voice.
He hadn't boarded the ship to kill anyone. He was looking for a new identity to get into the city.
Sean's fleet had arrived at just the right time, and Chen Cheng had happened to climb aboard Sean's ship. Apart from their faces, the two men were remarkably alike in build and bearing.
That made Sean the perfect identity for Chen Cheng to assume.
And if he was going to go undercover in disguise, he naturally had to learn something about the man first. Otherwise, he'd be exposed the moment he appeared.
Sean nodded hard, promising he wouldn't make a sound.
Chen Cheng let go. Sean gulped down air, then looked at him and said:
"Who are you? Don't you know this is the Hazy Kingdom's fleet? You dare take me hostage?"
Chen Cheng sat down and pointed at Sean. He was just about to tell him to shut up when someone knocked on the door.
"My son, are you resting? Your King Father wants to discuss a few things about what happens after we enter the Royal Capital."
Hearing the Hazy Kingdom's king outside, Chen Cheng put a hand to his forehead and muttered:
"Going undercover really is too much trouble. Anthony gets a lucky break this time."
Before Sean could shout a warning, Chen Cheng dragged the Hazy Kingdom's king inside too and knocked both father and son unconscious.
Carrying one in each hand, Chen Cheng waited until no one was looking and jumped into the river with them.
He swam underwater and
