While Chen Cheng examined the Golden Elixir inside his Consciousness Body, his body outside was moving step by step toward the Octopus Monster under Brother Octopus's direction.

As he drew closer, the Divine Power leaking from the monster grew denser, especially since Chen Cheng was carrying Brother Octopus, the original source of that power.

The escaping Divine Power was drawn toward Brother Octopus without anyone noticing.

That was also why the tentacles had surrounded Chen Cheng earlier: he was carrying Brother Octopus. The monster was, after all, a vessel for storing and using Divine Power.

Divine Power differed from other forms of power. It bore its owner's mark.

Once it sensed its original body, it would instinctively move toward him.

But Brother Octopus showed little excitement. As he had imagined it, the Divine Power inside the monster should not have been leaking away.

He had planned to wait until Chen Cheng brought him close, then burrow into the monster and reclaim his Divine Power—not absorb it bit by bit as it leaked out.
