Brother Octopus pulled his body out of the ground, turned around, and glared at Chen Cheng.

However, Chen Cheng had no mood to fool around with him right now. He surveyed the situation inside the fortress.

Yet this place was just like the one below—an utterly deserted fortress. It was as though the people who had left had held a grand cleanup first, leaving behind not even the tiniest scrap.

Meanwhile, Snow Maiden blinked her cute, bright eyes, walked up to Brother Octopus, then reached out with her little hand and patted his head.

As she spoke, Snow Maiden let out a laugh as clear and sweet as silver bells.

"Fine, fine. Since you know how to comfort me, I'll overlook everything you did before."

There was no helping it—cuteness was justice. Even Brother Octopus could not withstand such an adorable assault.

But before Brother Octopus could enjoy it for long, Snow Maiden grabbed him by the neck like a little country girl wringing a duck's neck. Then she looked excitedly at Chen Cheng.

"I caught the big octopus. We can use him to make the Sandworms outside let us leave."

Whoever said cuteness was justice had better not let Brother Octopus find them, or he would definitely smash that person's head in.

Seeing Brother Octopus still moving, little Snow Maiden frowned.

"Bad octopus. You're not obedient at all."

In an instant, bone-piercing frost erupted from Snow Maiden's hand, and Brother Octopus's body was immediately frozen into an ice pop.
