After waiting for some time without seeing the Eyes-Closed Deity attack, Laodelun and his companion exchanged a glance. Their figures then dissolved before everyone's eyes like smoke and mist.

Just as Chen Cheng thought the two had fled, the nature of the space around him suddenly changed.

The Magic Energy in that space, which had once obeyed him as readily as his own limbs, abruptly turned viscous and difficult to control. Its complex properties also shifted rapidly from disorder to relative order.

Then the entire space seemed to become a monster intent on crushing him to death.
