The end of the world?
Chen Cheng rubbed his chin and murmured to himself.
Then he made his decision. He had to visit World's End.
He had a feeling, somewhere deep down, that he might gain something unexpected if he went.
Chen Cheng found Kui Niu drinking with the King at the banquet and told him his plan.
Kui Niu belched. "Don't worry. I'll keep His Majesty safe."
"K-Kui Niu, brother, drink up! I've already finished mine. You're going to lose!"
The potbellied King raised his empty cup and grinned at Kui Niu.
"Who says I've lost? I'm drinking, I'm drinking."
Kui Niu lifted his cup and gulped down a full measure of wine.
Seeing how much Kui Niu had already drunk, Chen Cheng glanced at the King's enormous beer belly. He was genuinely worried for Kui Niu, who couldn't use Battle Aura to force the alcohol out of his body.
Clearly, the King's beer belly was a measure of his fighting strength.
Chen Cheng knew Kui Niu had taken his words to heart, so he left them to their fun. He could drink to his heart's content tonight.
While Chen Cheng's side celebrated with song and dance, Barbarian King Guste woke from unconsciousness in an unknown space, rubbing his throbbing head.
As soon as his awareness returned, he remembered that he had been fighting Demonic Beasts from the Abyss. His body snapped into a fighting stance, and his eyes swept his surroundings, taking stock as quickly as possible.
But there were no swarms of Demonic Beasts blotting out the sky. He was in a strange, pure-white room.
He could see no source of light. It was as though the room itself glowed.
