Chapter Summaries

Guilliman tried to persuade Logan Grimnar to accept the Primaris and join the Indomitus Crusade, but the Space Wolves rejected his reforms. Qin Yun arrived as a Living Saint, restored the Wulfen to human form and healed Bjorn, leaving the Space Wolves kneeling before him while Guilliman privately longed to abandon the regency.

• Guilliman called Logan his uncle and argued that the Primaris gift would help the Space Wolves defend the Imperium, but Logan accused him of seeking control and refused it.
• A holy song and golden pillar of light appeared over Fenris, and Qin Yun descended before the Fang as a Living Saint.

Logan recruited the God Chosen for a mission to destroy the Ork-held Eternal Dusk, and rewarded Bald Monk with Russ’s legendary Winter War Axe after accepting him as a Son of Russ. Qin Yun joined the expedition, and the fleet reached the space hulk ready to launch the attack.

Qin Yun learned that a secret organization called the Jagged Question was helping the Orks become Krork again and sought Trazyn’s knowledge about the ancient species. The chapter ended with Dante reporting that Lion El’Jonson had returned far earlier than Qin Yun expected.

• Captain Sandeka told Qin Yun that black-robed figures had supplied the Orks with a Blackstone Scepter and planned to restore them to their War in Heaven strength.
• Sandeka drew the Jagged Question symbol, and Qin Yun recognized it as belonging to a secret organization with activity beyond the Calixis Sector.

• Ursus, Zhuode, and Valier prepared to fight the Imperial attackers, then opened fire when they spotted the descending warriors.

Qin Yun defeated the Night Lords on Holkenvid, learned that Talos planned to establish a Night Lords nation, and secured the loyalty of the planet’s coerced defenders. Meanwhile, Lion El'Jonson took half of Dante’s fleet, and the Dark Angels set course for Kamas to confront the Fallen Angels.

• Qin Yun killed Zhuode and the other Night Lords, then used a skill to summon Zhuode’s soul and force his corpse to reveal Talos’s plan to establish a Night Lords nation.

After the battle, Qin Yun connected with Guilliman and Lion El'Jonson and revealed that Sanguinius had returned, leaving the Primarchs shocked and arguing over the past.

On Damiton II, Little Alpaca confronted Imperial officials who demanded the Imperial Tithe despite the planet's desperate need for supplies.

• Red Dragon questioned the Tuchulcha Engine about higher dimensions, then stored it in his Dimensional Space and planned to find the Plague Heart and Ouroboros.
