Ch. 102New Expansion: Wrath of the Emperor

Wandering Port and much of the Calixis Sector fell to the Colin Family’s rebels, leaving the Imperial Loyalists close to defeat. After returning to Automata, Qin Yun learned the scale of the crisis, began preparing a new expansion, and promised to lead the fight as refugees welcomed him as the Emperor’s Living Saint.

  • The families controlling Wandering Port betrayed the Imperial Navy, allowing the rebels to seize the port; Lieutenant General Fenri died defending Naval Command.
  • The rebels also took other Calixis worlds, persecuted Imperial citizens, and drove the Loyalists into a desperate position.
  • After a week in the Warp, Qin Yun’s fleet returned to Automata, where he reviewed intelligence showing Automata’s growth and the Loyalists’ catastrophic losses.
  • Von and Hydrak reported that sector leaders had gathered to seek the Living Saint’s help uniting the Loyalists, and Qin Yun ordered Xi Ling to create the Wrath of the Emperor expansion.
  • Qin Yun arrived at Lycade Station to cheers from refugees, promised to save the worlds in despair, and reminded the crowd that only the God-Emperor deserved worship.

Ch. 103The First Large-Scale Campaign

Qin Yun used Roboute Guilliman’s authorization to demand obedience from Calixis Sector leaders and reorganize its government for war against the Rebels. After launching a campaign expansion for players and mobilizing the sector’s forces, he declared Scintilla the first target.

  • Qin Yun announced Guilliman’s return and ordered the sector’s dignitaries to submit to his authority or leave, then demanded intelligence for a war against the Rebels.
  • Xi Ling completed and published the “Wrath of the Emperor” expansion, prompting players to prepare their Warbands for the campaign.

  • Qin Yun guided the two-hundred-ship fleet safely through the Warp to Scintilla and delivered a speech before ordering the fleet to prepare for battle.
  • Ten-Timer persuaded the Emperor's Cattle Warband to seize enemy warships, and the Warmaster asked Qin Yun for permission to lead a boarding mission.
  • Qin Yun approved the plan and ordered Xi Ling to charge deposits for landing craft and Gunships, offering the God Chosen credit to cover the cost.
  • Scarface watched pirates load loot and prisoners at Scintilla’s voidport, assuming the approaching fleet belonged to rival factions.
  • Scarface’s subordinates reported that the approaching ships were Loyalists and that they had opened fire.

Ch. 105Only Boarding Actions Can Win MVP

The Loyalists fought the Rebels in Scintilla’s orbit while Blood Pigeon’s fighters scored kills and Qin Yun tasked the Emperor's Cattle Warband with capturing the Exemplar Fist. The warband launched a boarding assault, and the survivors breached the battleship and attacked its stunned crew.

  • The Imperial Glory led Qin Yun’s fleet into battle against the Rebel ships, while Blood Pigeon’s fighters destroyed an armed vessel and earned a kill.
  • Qin Yun ordered Xi Ling to offer a mission to capture the Exemplar Fist, promising generous rewards and guaranteed funding for warbands.
  • Warmaster accepted the mission, and the Emperor's Cattle Warband boarded Caestus Assault Rams to prepare for an assault.
  • The Imperial Glory and the Exemplar Fist exchanged broadsides, disabling the battleship’s shields and opening a path for the assault craft.

Ch. 106Unleashing a Massacre

Players boarded the Exemplar Fist and fought their way through its defenses, capturing the ammunition depot and main reactor before preparing to seize the bridge. Ji Qirui was killed when his Strike Cruiser was destroyed, and the chapter left Warmaster ready to launch the final assault.

  • Players stormed the Exemplar Fist, while Scalp and Strategist killed Rebel soldiers and Ji Qirui learned that his destroyed Strike Cruiser had wiped out two squads.
  • Warmaster showed the ship’s layout and split the players into three squads to capture the main reactor, ammunition depot, and bridge.
  • Players blasted through a defended passage, defeated the crew, and advanced toward their assigned targets while joking about songs and fictional battles.
  • Scalp’s squad killed the Tech-Priests guarding the ammunition depot and took control of it.
  • Ten-Timer’s squad seized the main reactor after a fierce assault on the rebels.
  • Both squads reported their success to Warmaster, who prepared to launch the operation to seize the bridge.

Ch. 107Recapturing Scintilla

The Warmaster seized the Exemplar Fist, helping Qin Yun’s Imperial fleet crush the rebel fleet and retake Scintilla’s orbit. With the ground rebels trapped and weakened, Qin Yun ordered the landing operation, sending the players and Aing’s regiment into action.

  • The Warmaster stormed the Exemplar Fist’s bridge, killed its captain and a defiant officer, and forced the remaining crew to surrender and turn the ship’s guns on the rebels.
  • The Warmaster destroyed Scarface’s pirate ship after refusing its surrender, while the rebel fleet collapsed and fled.
  • Qin Yun rejected Caidin’s proposal to risk the supply barges, then ordered the fleet to retake Scintilla’s orbital stations and bombard rebel positions on the ground.
  • Sonas Colin learned that the rebel fleet had been defeated and urged the rebel leaders to hold out for reinforcements from the Colin Family.
  • Qin Yun sent the landing mission to the players and ordered Aing to lead the regiment into the ground operation.

Ch. 108Great Victory

Imperium forces landed on Scintilla and launched an assault on the rebel-held Ambrun mobile city. They crushed its defenses in little over an hour, captured Aquinas, and continued the battle as a distant explosion sent up a mushroom cloud.

  • Imperium troops, Zaku Mechs, and supplies arrived in orbit above Scintilla and assembled for the campaign.
  • Qin Yun ordered the forces to advance on Ambrun, while Aquinas prepared the rebel defenders to hold the city until reinforcements arrived.
  • Imperium tanks, Zaku Mechs, infantry, and Astartes broke through the city’s defenses and defeated the rebels in little over an hour.
  • Aquinas attempted to retreat, but after the Angels of the Emperor slaughtered nearby defenders, he surrendered to the Warmaster for Warfare Score.
  • A massive explosion erupted across the battlefield, raising a mushroom cloud.

Ch. 109Greater Daemon of E Equals a Contractor Fronting the Costs??

The Imperial forces retook a city and advanced toward Hive City Sibellus while the Emperor's Cattle and Hammer and Sickle warbands fought on the front lines. After Qin Yun sent Brother Zhong's Blank players to investigate a cult's plan to summon Balphomer, he gained new powers and learned that Rebel reinforcements had arrived, setting up a void battle and a possible counterattack.

  • The Imperium captured Ambrun's mobile city, took Aquinas and other defenders prisoner, and continued its advance toward Hive City Sibellus as the player warbands fought for Warfare Score.
  • The Warmaster led the Emperor's Cattle Warband in an assault on a Rebel fortress, while Ten-Timer's Jump Pack exploded during the approach.
  • Brother Zhong rescued slaves from a factory, then learned from the Ordo Hereticus agent Maxo that the Brotherhood of the Dark Corner planned to summon Balphomer.
  • Qin Yun assigned Brother Zhong and the Demon Hunter Warband to support Inquisitor Caidin and investigate the daemon threat, then gained the Time Adjustment and Faith Blessing skills at Level 15.

Ch. 110Time for Hell, Traitor

Qin Yun led the Imperial Glory against Vice Admiral Petre’s fleet and used a teleportation strike to capture the enemy flagship, the Truth's Light. After killing Petre, Qin Yun warned Scintilla’s governor that he would be next.

  • Vice Admiral Petre rejected Xia’s offer to surrender and declared that House Andre would prosper by abandoning the Emperor.
  • As the fleets exchanged fire, Qin Yun ordered Chapter Master Sard and veteran warriors to prepare for a teleportation assault on Petre’s flagship.
  • The Imperial Glory shattered part of the Truth's Light’s Void Shields, allowing Qin Yun and the veterans to teleport onto its bridge.
  • Qin Yun’s warriors killed the bridge crew, and Qin Yun beheaded Petre.
  • Governor Sonas Colin contacted the captured flagship to request help for Scintilla, and Qin Yun told him Petre was dead and that he would be next.

Ch. 111Version 2.1 Update

Qin Yun captured the enemy flagship as Imperial forces crushed the rebellion on Scintilla, and he prepared a Version 2.1 update for the players. Meanwhile, the Haksos Dynasty awakened and Setka dispatched an overlord to hunt Ahriman and his followers.

  • Qin Yun cut communications with the defeated enemy, ordered Sard to seize the flagship, and players discussed his victory on the regional channel.
  • Imperial forces battered Sibellus Hive City, and Governor Sonas revealed that Lieutenant General Petre had died before killing himself as the rebel leaders fled.
  • Xia exploited the enemy fleet’s confusion while Blood Pigeon and other players crippled ships with suicide attacks, helping their warbands compete for the rankings.
  • After the battle for Sibellus Hive City entered its cleanup phase, Qin Yun planned to gradually adjust the time ratio between the players’ world and the Warhammer Universe.
  • Setka awakened the Haksos Dynasty, traced the intruder’s trail to the Calixis Sector, and ordered a Necron Overlord to annihilate Ahriman and his followers.

Ch. 112Hey Hey, Beat the Demon to Its Knees

Brother Zhong and the Demon Hunter Warband helped Caidin’s forces defeat and bind the Lord of Dark Flame, capturing a Daemonhost and vaulting their warband to first place. As the Scintilla Battle neared its end, Qin Yun released Warhammer Online version 2.1 with changes to scoring, loot, game time, and quests.

  • Caidin led Brother Zhong, the Demon Hunter Warband, and Imperial squads to the Brotherhood of the Dark Corner’s foundry and fought through its Cultists.
  • The Cultists summoned the Lord of Dark Flame, Balphomer, into a mortal vessel, but the Blank players charged him and overwhelmed him with their attacks.
  • Caidin used the Daemon-Enslavement Pact to bind Balphomer inside the mortal body, then killed the Black-Robed Man.
  • The Demon Hunter Warband surged from last place to first on the leaderboard after capturing the Daemonhost, prompting other warbands to react with disbelief and frustration.
  • Qin Yun rolled out version 2.1, updating Warfare Score, loot distribution, game time, and Faith Points quests.

Ch. 113Ahriman: Has Sanguinius Returned?

Qin Yun planned Scintilla’s reconstruction and further Imperial reforms as Warhammer Online’s popularity surged. Elsewhere, Ahriman attacked Hagren’s ship and searched his memories, discovering an era filled with Astartes and an image of Sanguinius.

  • Warhammer Online attracted a flood of players, and Slaanesh's Ten-Times-A-Night Stud explained the update’s time adjustment and Faith Points missions in the chat group.
  • Qin Yun drafted a Scintilla Reconstruction Plan, rejected former aristocrats’ demands to reclaim their positions, and considered reforms to the Ecclesiarchy and Administratum.
  • Merchant trader Hagren traveled toward Scintilla with his family’s future in mind, following the navigational Beacon that the Living Saint had brought back.
  • Ahriman’s warriors attacked Hagren’s ship after it emerged from the Warp, and Ahriman killed the armed crew who tried to resist.
  • Ahriman broke into Hagren’s memories and wondered whether he had returned to the era of the Great Crusade after seeing Sanguinius.

Ch. 114Ahriman's Fright

Ahriman learned that Planet Automata held more than ten thousand Astartes and chose to investigate its Pure Thousand Sons rather than attack, while his Rubric Sorcery backlash continued to consume his forces. As the Scintilla battle ended, Qin Yun awarded the captured Exemplar Fist to the Emperor's Cattle Warband and received a communication request from Guilliman.

  • Ahriman found that the Living Saint's fate was impossible to read, then endured another Wicked Fire Backlash that reduced a Rubric Marine to ash.
  • After learning from Hagren's memories that Planet Automata had more than ten thousand Astartes, Ahriman rejected an attack and said he would investigate the Pure Thousand Sons.
  • Ahriman revived Hagren and sent the freighter toward Scintilla, while players celebrated the Demon Hunter Warband's MVP victory and argued over the results of the battle.
  • Qin Yun distributed the captured ships, granting the Emperor's Cattle Warband priority and the Exemplar Fist after other Warbands declined to bid.

Ch. 115Sacred Number 9, Tzeentch's Chosen Goes Online (Bonus Chapter)

Qin Yun advised Guilliman to leave Ultramar for Terra and promised to protect it while Guilliman traveled. Meanwhile, the ninth batch of players joined Warhammer Online, and the repeatedly selected Old Thirteen appeared as an unusually intelligent Ogryn.

  • Guilliman told Qin Yun that Nurgle's Tear Plague repeatedly returned after Guilliman left each outbreak zone, and Qin Yun advised him to abandon Ultramar and go to Terra.
  • Guilliman agreed to leave Calgar in charge of Ultramar after Qin Yun promised to support him, and Guilliman said Cawl was installing a Beacon aboard the Macragge's Honour.
  • Xi Ling showed Qin Yun the ninth batch of player IDs, and Qin Yun noticed that Old Thirteen had been selected for the ninth time under the name "Guilliman is the Sun."
  • Players in the chat group teased Old Thirteen about his repeated selection and his apparent connection to Tzeentch after he announced he had received a game helmet.

Ch. 116Kairos's Shock

Old Thirteen completed rookie training and discovered he had gained Warp Perception, cementing the players’ belief that he was Tzeentch’s Chosen. In the Warp, Kairos noticed Old Thirteen’s psychic aura and was shocked.

  • Xi Ling welcomed the newly logged-in players, and warbands recruited them while Mushroom, Rice, and Potato is also a coarse grain planned to form an agricultural warband.
  • Big Blue joined the Emperor’s Cattle Warband, while Old Thirteen declined recruitment offers and chose to assess his abilities first.
  • Instructor Bulus trained the newcomers in weapons and equipment over two days, after which they received Recruit Medals and gained skills.
  • Old Thirteen revealed that he had gained Warp Perception, prompting the players to call him Tzeentch’s Chosen again.
  • Kairos arranged for loyal Imperium soldiers to kill a cultist whose scheme had destroyed a world, creating a new Tzeentch daemon from the story’s echo.
  • Kairos looked toward the Calixis Sector, spotted Old Thirteen’s psychic aura, and exclaimed that it was not Tzeentch-like.

Ch. 117Ahriman Arrives

Kairos planned to draw xenos forces into the Calixis Sector while investigating an unusually intelligent Ogryn. On Scintilla, players joined the Exemplar Fist crew and helped rebuild the hive city, where Ten-Timer unexpectedly met Ahriman, who claimed to be his blood brother.

  • Kairos found that Ahriman had infiltrated Scintilla as Hagren and plotted to bring Dark Eldar, Necrons, a Hive Fleet, and Orks into the Calixis Sector.
  • Big Blue and other players arrived on Scintilla, joined the Exemplar Fist crew, and began learning to operate the battleship.
  • MC Mythology inspected the Exemplar Fist for Dora Workshop as Warmaster planned renovations to its interior.
  • Qin Yun used player-designed plans to rebuild Scintilla's hive city with greener, less oppressive architecture.
  • Ten-Timer helped crush a gang, then encountered a merchant who identified himself as Azhek Ahriman and claimed to be Ten-Timer's blood brother.

Ch. 118Ahriman's Fury

Ten-Timer confronted Ahriman and stalled him while the Thousand Sons attacked, hoping to capture him before help arrived. The Warmaster and the other players reached the battlefield, and Ahriman ordered his sorcerers to form a Mandala Formation to face them.

  • Ahriman appeared disguised as a merchant and offered Ten-Timer a chance to join the Thousand Sons, but Ten-Timer ordered his soldiers to seize him.
  • Ahriman summoned Thousand Sons Sorcerers and Rubric Marines, who massacred the soldiers until Ten-Timer joined the fight and was knocked down by Ahriman.
  • Ahriman urged Ten-Timer to meet their Primarch, but Ten-Timer mocked Magnus, Ahriman, and the Rubric Marines to provoke him while secretly waiting for reinforcements.
  • Ten-Timer pretended to agree to go with Ahriman, then revealed the agreement was a trick and continued stalling him.
  • The Warmaster and other players arrived firing at Ahriman's group, and Ahriman ordered the Thousand Sons Sorcerers to form a Mandala Formation.

Ch. 119Kairos: I Have a Perfect Plan

Ahriman’s attack on Scintilla failed when Qin Yun arrived and drove him through a Warp gateway, leaving the players to receive rewards and a new quest to investigate his plans. In the Warp, Kairos decided to devise his own scheme to spread Chaos through the Calixis Sector.

  • The Thousand Sons and daemons battled the Emperor’s forces, but Ahriman’s group faced overwhelming resistance and his precognition failed against Turtle.
  • Ahriman froze the Emperor’s Cattle Warband and tried to take Ten-Timer, but Qin Yun and Xi Ling arrived and shattered the time stop.
  • Qin Yun overpowered Ahriman and his forces, but Ahriman escaped through a Warp gateway after Ten-Timer tried to persuade him to stay.
  • Qin Yun welcomed the Aeldari from Craftworld Ulthwe and issued the players rewards and a quest to investigate Ahriman’s purpose.
  • Kairos watched Ahriman flee and resolved to spread corruption through the Calixis Sector with a plan of his own.

Ch. 120A Naval Prodigy

Big Blue excelled in a Void warship simulation and met the Eldar as they arrived on Scintilla, where Qin Yun calmed the hostile crowd and welcomed them as allies. In a strategic meeting, Qin Yun asked Farseer Kasareth to teach humanity psychic arts to counter Chaos, and Kasareth asked what the Eldar would gain in return.

  • Colonel Semper tested the God Chosen in simulated Void warfare, and Big Blue nearly won a capital-ship battle despite his limited knowledge of the ship's specifications.
  • Colonel Semper praised Big Blue's talent and said he could become a captain after Warp navigation training, while Big Blue agreed to join Commodore's Decision on a mission later.
  • An Aeldari vessel arrived at the port, and the Adeptus Arbites contained a hostile crowd as Qin Yun welcomed the Eldar envoys.
  • Qin Yun explained that the Eldar were allies against Chaos, and the crowd gradually accepted his decision to cooperate with them.
  • At a strategic meeting, Qin Yun told Kasareth about Ahriman's infiltration and asked the Eldar to teach humanity psychic arts; Kasareth asked what the Eldar would gain.

Ch. 121Updated Dungeon Gameplay

Qin Yun secured Ulthwé Craftworld’s promise to train human Psykers and learned that Tzeentch planned to use the Menagerie to corrupt the Calixis Sector. He persuaded Kasareth to help send the God Chosen into the Menagerie, setting up a new dungeon for the players.

  • Qin Yun persuaded Kasareth that humanity and Ulthwé Craftworld should ally against Chaos, and Kasareth agreed to help train human Psykers.
  • Kasareth warned Qin Yun that Tzeentch intended to target him and that the Menagerie would be the first threat to emerge.
  • Caidin presented Inquisition records describing the Menagerie as a Warp region that drove its chosen victims mad or corrupted them.
  • Qin Yun asked Kasareth to send the God Chosen into the Menagerie, and Kasareth agreed to prepare for their entry in one week.
