The battle continued until nightfall, when something unexpected happened. A three-hundred-meter-long merchant ship carrying a large number of civilians sailed strangely into the waters to the right of Luo Han's battlefield.
Over on Roger's side, a Slash Wave happened to fly over and cut the merchant ship in half.
The merchant ship was destroyed, and the surviving civilians swam onto First Line Island. They happened to be at the edge of the various battlefields, and amid the aftershocks of these monsters' fighting, survivors were struck and killed from time to time.
Garp and the others saw all of it through their binoculars.
"Those bastards! Can't they see there are civilians?" Garp lowered his binoculars, clenched his fists, and walked toward the side of the ship.
"Don't act rashly, Garp. That merchant ship appeared too suddenly!" Sengoku stepped forward and tightly grabbed Garp's arm.
"But those civilians really are dying! Are we just going to watch, Sengoku? I can't do that." Garp pulled his arm free and continued forward. The justice in his heart would not allow him to pretend nothing had happened.
Tap tap! Tap! Zephyr used Geppo and headed straight for First Line Island. Of everyone here, perhaps he was the one who found this hardest to accept.
"Ha ha ha!" Seeing Zephyr leave, Garp froze for a moment before bursting into laughter. He patted Sengoku on the shoulder. "We'll head over first, Sengoku!" Then he used Geppo to fly toward First Line Island.
Sengoku watched his two friends take action. "No matter what, saving the civilians is the right thing to do."
Sengoku sighed softly.
At this time, Sengoku had not yet been numbed by the darkness of the world. Faced with the suddenly appearing civilian merchant ship, he still chose to save them.
"Bring the warship over!"
