After speaking with Lord Im, the Gorosei arrived before a massive building hidden behind the Holy Land. The structure resembled a medieval church. This was the World Government's archive, guarded in secret by CP0 year-round.
Pushing open the doors, the Gorosei entered the World Government's archive once more, preparing to review the information on the Devil Fruit they called the "Infinite Fruit."
Inside the enormous archive, rows upon rows of twenty-meter-high bookshelves stood neatly arranged throughout the vast hall. They held every kind of intelligence and record of civilization from across the world. It could be said that they contained nearly every secret ever discovered in this world.
Tap! Tap! In the silent archive, the only sound was that of the Gorosei's footsteps.
Following the path between the two central rows of shelves, the Gorosei walked all the way to the end and arrived before a small door ten meters tall. The door had an ancient design and looked quite old. Pictographic images depicting the history of a nation's development had been carved upon it.
Pushing open the ten-meter-tall door, the Gorosei entered a circular room fifty meters in diameter. It resembled a round tower, a hundred meters high, with only a domed glass pane at its very top. Everything else was sealed shut.
Circular bookshelves lined the round walls, while a round table with five stools stood at the center. The noon sunlight passed through the glass window overhead and fell directly upon the table.
The old man with a cane walked to one of the shelves and took down a somewhat worn book. It was very thin, only a dozen or so pages long.
The old man carefully placed the book on the round table, then sat down and looked at the other four Gorosei.
