Room of Requirement

On the eighth floor of Hogwarts was the Headmaster's Office. It sat at the end of a spiral staircase, behind a gleaming oak door with a brass knocker shaped like a griffin.

As for what was inside, Noah had never been in, so he was not very sure.

Also on the eighth floor was Professor Flitwick's office, the thirteenth window to the right of the West Tower.

As for the West Tower, its top floor was the Owlery, a place for owls to roost. It was said Hogwarts had spent quite a bit of money building it.

Besides that, the Gryffindor Common Room was here too. It was located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady, and was said to be a comfortable round room filled with squashy armchairs.

This was where Gryffindor students rested and revised their lessons, and it also led to Gryffindor Tower.

The four of them had come up with the Gryffindor students. Although the Gryffindor students were a little puzzled as to why four Ravenclaw students had come here, they did not ask too many questions. They probably thought these three fellows had come to find Professor Flitwick.

Hermione and Harry, on the other hand, wanted to come up and ask whether they needed any help.

But seeing that Noah and the others showed no intention of talking, they could only hold back their curiosity. Hermione especially really wanted to ask how he had managed to master a spell so quickly.

"Noah, what are we doing here? Looking for Professor Dumbledore, or Professor Flitwick?" Once they had finally left the Gryffindor students' line of sight, Evan could not help asking.

Running over near someone else's Common Room did not feel good at all.

If he could, he really did not want to come here, especially with Professor Flitwick's office nearby. Students were naturally afraid of teachers; that was the same everywhere.

"Neither. I'm not looking for their help." Noah's voice was still very soft. There were portraits in this corridor, and he did not want those portraits hearing what he said. "Don't worry, you'll know soon enough. But before that, I have to tell you this: you must keep this a secret, understand?"

"Whoa? A secret? Your secret?" Luns let out a soft whistle.

"No. A secret of Hogwarts. Let's just say I found this place by accident." Noah shrugged, while also thinking over something.

"A secret of Hogwarts?" Evan and the others exchanged glances, as though discussing something. In the end, Kate stepped forward and said quietly, "We understand. Don't worry, this will be the four of us's private secret!"

There really were many secrets hidden inside Hogwarts, so many that perhaps even the headmaster, Professor Dumbledore, did not know exactly how many things there were to investigate.

If Noah had accidentally found something or somewhere mysterious, and it was of tremendous help to him, then this secret was definitely worth guarding!

And the fact that Noah was willing to share such a secret with them made them feel incomparably honored and proud.

Although they had long regarded Noah as their best friend, at this moment they raised his place in their hearts another step higher.

Noah had no idea what they were thinking. He was recalling everything about the Room of Requirement.

That's right. Noah planned to bring out the Room of Requirement and use it as a place for his future activities, as well as to cover up why his magical ability was improving so rapidly.

He had to admit, this place was truly amazing, because the name basically explained everything.

Its method of opening was also rather special: only when a person truly needed it could they enter.

It appeared and disappeared, but whenever it appeared, it was always arranged according to the seeker's needs.

Noah remembered that in the book, most of the time this room was located on the eighth floor of the castle, opposite the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy.

And many stories had taken place in this room. For example, several decades ago, on the night Voldemort came to Dumbledore to apply for a teaching post, he hid the Horcrux, Ravenclaw's Diadem, in the Room of Requirement.

In the future, Harry Potter would also use this place as Dumbledore's Army's training ground.

After that, both Harry and Malfoy had made it appear as a storage room. Malfoy had even successfully used the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement to help Death Eaters enter Hogwarts.

And Harry had also used this room to create many passages leading to various parts of Hogwarts, and it had served as a refuge for students hiding from Death Eater rule.

Unfortunately, in the end, Vincent Crabbe burned this room with Fiendfyre.

It could be said that the Room of Requirement would play a huge role in the future. Noah believed that the value he could create by obtaining this room would definitely be no less than Harry's, and might even be greater.

Because Noah's sights were not limited to one Hogwarts. In his view, Voldemort and the like were certainly terrifying and powerful, but if he could not even deal with that, then in the future he might as well find somewhere safe and hide.

"Noah, what exactly are you looking for? Don't tell me you've forgotten the way?"

After they had probably walked around this place about three times, Luns could not stand it anymore.

He felt like an idiot, constantly going in circles here. Fortunately, he believed Noah would not deceive them; otherwise, he would have turned around and left long ago.

"Don't worry, it should be here. I often got lost when I came before, and since I had to avoid the Gryffindor students, I didn't dare leave any marks. But I feel like it should be around here."

Noah himself felt a little embarrassed. This damned Room of Requirement had one rather infuriating condition: if you wanted to enter this room, you had to concentrate your thoughts, think about what you needed, and walk past that spot three times. Then it would appear.

So Noah had no choice but to act like a great fool leading three little fools, walking back and forth around this damned place three times.

Fortunately, it seemed Heaven had no intention of making things difficult for Noah. When they passed that damned tapestry for the third time, Noah immediately sensed something.

He turned to look, and sure enough, Noah discovered a door appearing before his eyes!

Noah instantly let out a sigh of relief. Hard work paid off, after all. Although Noah had already thought up an excuse in case he could not find it, that would have been far too embarrassing.

"Guys, here. I think we've found it!" Noah waved, beckoning Evan and the others to come this way.

Evan and the other two were half believing, half doubting. They had passed this spot three times and had not discovered anything.

This time was about the same. In Noah's eyes, a door had appeared, but in theirs, there was nothing at all.

"Maybe it's like the station?" they thought to themselves.

They followed Noah doubtfully, and very soon they could no longer stay calm, because they had arrived inside a hidden room. And this room was filled everywhere with books, as well as all kinds of props specially used to practice spells!

Heavens, what the hell was this place?
