Watching His Mood?

During the time he had been back, Noah had not allowed himself to relax too much.

Of course, this "not relaxing" was accomplished in Noah's dreams.

When he thought about it carefully, the thing that had helped Noah the most was still his System Library. The improvements he gained there came far faster than studying in the Room of Requirement!

Perhaps because it acted directly on the soul, whatever Noah learned there could be mastered in a single step.

No matter how difficult the knowledge he saw was, or how complex the magical structure was, as long as Noah put his mind to it and his magic power was sufficient to support the spell, he could quickly master it!

Noah's magical power was no longer what it had been over three months ago. After acquiring methods from the System for training his mental strength and magic power, combined with his never-ending practice, his magical ability had now reached a very high level.

Well, of course, that "very high" was only compared to the students. Noah felt that compared to those transmigrators, he was far behind.

Noah had never understood why some transmigrators arrived in another world already "max level," then went on to pick up all kinds of beautiful women.

But for him, during a full ten years of childhood, Noah had not even seen the shadow of magic.

It was not until he turned ten that he learned he was someone with a System too, someone with special abilities too!

"This is practically losing at the starting line! There's absolutely no comparison!"

It was not as if Noah had never complained about how useless his System was. Showing up late was one thing, but it did not even have things like lotteries! It did not even give him a beginner's gift pack!

This was simply the trashiest System Noah had ever seen!

Still, trash was better than nothing. Noah only complained a little before he stopped thinking about it.

He was afraid that his wild thoughts might anger the System and make it leave. If that happened, Noah would probably cry himself blind.

Christmas break lasted nearly half a month. During those two weeks, Noah did not run around everywhere. Instead, he properly helped Ms. Heifen manage the orphanage, and in his spare time, he accepted Hermione's invitations to go out and have some fun.

Ms. Heifen was rather curious about Hermione. The girl was adorable and very polite. Heaven knew how Noah, who had once been such a quiet boy, had met a friend like her.

Naturally, Ms. Heifen was mostly happy about it. She did not want Noah to remain as he had been before, looking as though he could not be bothered with anyone. Otherwise, she would have to worry about his future.

Evan and the others had sent Noah letters. They knew where Noah was.

The contents of their letters were mostly the same. First, they talked about receiving plenty of praise at home, then they began complaining about why the holiday was so long. They were even starting to regret going home.

Noah found those letters rather amusing. It was his first time seeing students complain that a vacation was too long.

As for what they were complaining about, it was nothing more than being unable to study in the Room of Requirement during the break and improve their magical abilities.

Noah laughed rather unkindly at that. Although he had also been unable to enter the Room of Requirement for the past two weeks, he had not neglected his training!

Training in the System Space was far better than in the Room of Requirement. It was practically like moving forward with cheat codes enabled!

Name: Noah Finneal Age: Eleven Mage Level: Level Eight

That was right, Noah's Mage Level had already reached Level Eight!

It was easy to imagine that before long, he would become a first-tier mage!

Only upon reaching the first tier could one be considered a true mage!

There was nothing wrong with Hogwarts' teaching, but advancing as a mage was not so simple. Noah had estimated long ago that it would already be impressive if graduating wizards reached the second or third tier!

Noah's advancement speed relied on the help of his System, of course, but his own hard work was equally indispensable.

No matter how good your external conditions were, if you did not put in any effort yourself, the result would still be zero. It would all be pointless.

It looks like my progress is pretty good. My original goal was to reach the first tier by the end of this term. Now, it seems I won't need to wait that long, as long as everything goes smoothly.

Noah thought to himself as he packed his luggage. The half-month holiday had come to an end, and naturally, he needed to prepare to return to school.

He did not want to return late and create a whole pile of trouble.

They still had plenty to do once they returned from break, such as continuing to learn new knowledge and completing Professor Dumbledore's task of recruiting more people.

And, of course, most importantly, they had to deal with the final exams!

In Noah's view, although the final exams were no trouble at all for him, he still needed to have the proper attitude.

As for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone?

Noah had not taken it to heart at all. Unless it came looking for him, he could consider lending a hand.

If not?

Then Noah had no interest in getting involved in that nonsense!

A Quirrell possessed by Voldemort was not much to fear, especially with Professor Dumbledore "watching from the shadows." What the hell could possibly happen?

The crown in the Room of Requirement is worth paying attention to, though. But trying to study it now would simply be courting death. Forget it, I'll leave it there for now. When I get the chance, I'll hand it over to Professor Dumbledore. It'll count as helping him out.

Noah muttered inwardly. He really did not dare provoke Voldemort right now.

He had asked the System whether there was a way for him to see other mages' levels. The System's answer was that he should ask again after reaching the fifth tier. For now, the System could tell Noah what he wanted to know depending on its mood.

The phrase "depending on its mood" had been used very cleverly, and the fifth tier was not something Noah could even imagine right now!

So he could only rely on this unreliable System to judge these enemies. Fortunately, it would still reveal some relevant information about important figures.

For example, Dumbledore was currently fifth-tier Level Nine, while Voldemort was fifth-tier Level Eight.

Professor Snape, Professor McGonagall, and Professor Flitwick were all around fifth-tier Level Two to Level Four. As for the others, it only told Noah that Harry was zero-tier Level Two, Hermione was Level Three, and Ron was Level One.

As for the levels of the other three people in Noah's dormitory, whom Noah had been eagerly wondering about, the System could not even be bothered to tell him.

Though helpless, Noah could only accept it. He felt that no matter how poor those guys in his dormitory were, they could not possibly be worse than Hermione, right?

Forget it, why think so much about it? In any case, their achievements will definitely surpass those in the original story by countless times. After all, in the original story, they were nameless background characters.
