"An angel? Noah, you—"
Constantine held his gun and looked into the air, yet he could not see anything at all, which left him somewhat confused.
But despite his confusion, he still trusted Noah completely. He simply had no way of seeing where this so-called angel was.
Yet he soon learned just how terrifying Noah truly was!
The moment he finished speaking, an indescribable radiance filled the entire room. The pale golden glow illuminated every corner, accompanied by faint, sacred singing!
An angel!
That was right—Constantine immediately concluded that whoever had come here had to be an angel!
The power emanating from that radiance and the sacred hymn both came from Heaven. Only angels, those so-called children favored by God, could carry such power!
But who was it?
This was clearly no ordinary angel, and Constantine was certain of that!
Before long, though, he got his answer. A figure he knew all too well slowly descended from the sky, proud and utterly arrogant.
"Gabriel? It's you!"
"Surprised? Or not surprised at all?"
Gabriel sneered, but when her gaze fell upon Noah, it gradually turned solemn.
They outsiders especially hated mages. That was an indisputable fact. Even a young mage was no exception!
"Why are you doing this? Evil will rule this world!" Constantine gritted his teeth, his face filled with fury.
"Is it your turn to judge me, John?" Gabriel shook her head disdainfully. "You don't need to understand what I'm doing. You only need to know that my sole purpose is to enlighten humanity."
"By handing the world over to the son of a demon?"
"You don't need to know, John. You never needed to know. You received a precious gift, didn't you? Like all humans, you were given a chance at redemption by the Creator. No matter what
