Gaining more insight into and experiencing different kinds of power was also a form of growth for Noah.
Although Noah was certain he might not have any use for these powers after returning home, that did not mean there was no way to improve them.
For example, if Noah could turn the "Shadow Clone Technique" into a magical skill after returning, he might live much more comfortably in the future.
