Wanda took a sharp breath, then collapsed to the ground the next second.
She glanced at the abyss whose depth she could not fathom, then at Thanos standing nearby with an excited expression still on his face, and sighed.
She knew she had won this battle, but she was utterly exhausted. Thanos had been too powerful, and making him fall into an illusion while he was highly focused had been anything but easy.
Fortunately, Wanda had managed it in a thrillingly close call. Otherwise, she might truly have ended up like the version of herself in that illusion—killed by Thanos, with the Infinity Stones taken from her.
"But my head is really spinning right now." Wanda sighed. Even sitting felt exhausting, so she simply lay down on the ground.
The ground here was utterly uneven, and the temperature was scorching from being so close to the Earth's core.
But Wanda could not care less. She was simply too tired, especially after violently drawing upon Arcane power, her innate power, and the power of the Infinity Stones in such a short span of time. She could not withstand that kind of drain.
Still, Wanda knew it would be best to reflect on the battle she had just experienced, because all of it would benefit her.
"Still, the power of the Infinity Stones really is terrifying." Wanda looked at her glove and could not help sighing.
Her battle plan had not actually been all that brilliant. At first, she used Arcane power to confuse Thanos, then used her own power to make him believe that the power from earlier was probably the Mind Stone's power, while controlling those rocks and directly attacking with energy were her own abilities.
The final and most crucial step had been to unleash the true power of
