"Have you all dealt with your opponents?"
Noah looked at the group walking toward him, thought for a moment, then set Wanda down. Smiling, he looked at Carol. "Long time no see, Carol. I never expected you to come back. Let me think... it's probably been over twenty, nearly thirty years?"
"Yes, it has indeed been a long time." Carol stared at Noah. Though he had grown up, there were still traces of his younger self in his features. "That little brat from back then has grown up too. The last time I saw you feels like it was only yesterday."
"Yeah, I suppose." Noah spread his hands. "But the little brat you're talking about is about to get married, while you're still alone. I have to say, that's a sad story."
"Can't be bothered with you." Carol rolled her eyes and carefully looked Noah over from head to toe. Now she understood why that guy called Tony had said the two of them were alike.
Carol had sensed an aura from Noah that was much like her own, and it reminded her of how this little brat had taken a vial of her blood all those years ago.
Clearly, that was the result of those samples of blood. Although Carol had no idea how this mage had managed it, she had no interest in asking about such strange nonsense.
She had given it to him willingly, so Carol had no regrets. As for a mage being able to do something like this, it did not seem too difficult to understand. Mages always had a whole host of bizarre abilities, didn't they?
