"Really? Has it been that long already?"
Howard had probably never witnessed anything so unbelievable in his entire life. But he had even seen gods, so the fact that his son still looked so young after he had been dead for so long did not seem all that strange.
Think about it—gods had appeared, parallel universes could communicate with one another, so his son looking a little young was hardly difficult to understand. As for why the other one looked so old, Howard simply chalked it up to personal preference.
"Long? Maybe." Tony sighed. "Sorry, I'm not very sensitive to the passage of time. I became a mage too, so... forget it. Let's not talk about that. Once you truly come back to life, we'll have plenty of time to discuss other things."
"Come back to life?" Howard and his wife froze for a moment. Then they examined their bodies and found that they had a vague, translucent quality. Howard realized that he was probably not in a normal state right now.
"So I'm in soul form now?" Howard did not care at all that he was dead. "I knew it. I clearly remembered dying back then. So souls really do exist in this world."
"Yes, souls do exist." Tony nodded seriously. "This world is vast beyond anything we can imagine. There are far too many unknown things in it, and far too many unimaginable things as well."
As he spoke, Tony saw the interested look on Howard's face and immediately forgot what he had just said about waiting until they were resurrected to talk slowly. He began recounting some of the things he had seen over the years from the very beginning.
