It was late at night.
A full moon hung high in the sky, its bright light spilling over the earth.
It fell upon White Tower City's alloy walls, reflecting in soft beams.
Outside the walls, densely packed cameras were all switched on.
Fully armed Guard Army soldiers stood ramrod straight, casting tall shadows beneath the moonlight.
Inside the wall's surveillance room, the Guard Army captain watched the monitors in utter boredom, chatting idly with his trusted subordinate.

"Tell me about it. Even if those cultists from the Crimson Prison Society did come here, once they were exposed in Greenwood City, they should've fled long ago. Why would they be stupid enough to keep hiding here? Being on standby twenty-four hours a day is such a waste of time..."
The tall, thin man named Old Wu smiled and nodded repeatedly in agreement.
"Ah, what else can we do? Just put up with it. Once this all blows over, we'll be fine..."
The captain sighed, took out a cigarette, put it between his lips, and lit it. He took a deep drag and was about to leave the surveillance room for a stroll outside when his gaze happened to sweep across one of the screens.
He vaguely seemed to catch sight of a figure.
Assuming he had imagined it, he blinked and looked at the screen again. Sure enough, nothing unusual remained.
"I knew it. Who'd come here at this hour?"
He was still muttering when a figure shrouded in darkness suddenly reappeared
