Incidentally, the shadow shrouding Ismar had nothing to do with some setting where only the chosen could see her true form. That shadow was a curse directed at everyone. While erasing Ismar's silhouette, it also increased her allure, so it absolutely could not hide her appearance through the curse. It had nothing but drawbacks. Otherwise, why would it be called a curse?
Clearly, the dimwitted Ismar had been fooled by that Magic Mirror.
From Chen Luo's current perspective, he truly could not see where Ismar was supposed to be clever. She always gave off a somewhat dumb look.
Her eyes were far too clear, so clear that she seemed utterly unfamiliar with the ways of the world.
Come to think of it, as a newborn, she had only managed the Seaborn, and generally speaking, the Seaborn did not engage in much scheming.
The Seaborn were incredibly straightforward. If you were their blood relative, they had to help you.
The hatred between the Seaborn and the Abyssal Hunters could not really be called hatred.
To the Abyssal Hunters, the Seaborn were monsters that needed to be hunted. But to the Seaborn, the Abyssal Hunters created through certain Seaborn-related research were blood relatives of the Seaborn.
The reason the Seaborn attacked Abyssal Hunters was to free their blood relatives from the bodies of those Abyssal Hunters.
