Abyss Channel Consciousness: You Won't Even Call Me "Baby"!
"All right, Brother Chen Luo, you've found the first agent, but there are still four left. Keep working hard. Otherwise... I don't think you'd want to know what wish Mobius made." Aili patted Chen Luo's shoulder and said with a smile.
She seemed rather pleased by his misfortune.
"You know?"
"I don't, but I can probably guess." Aili shook her head.
"Everyone's wish is confidential. If you don't choose to become an agent, you can't even remember your own wish. You'll only learn it after winning or losing."
Whether to become a Werewolf was actually a difficult choice.
After becoming a Werewolf, one could become an agent of the Honkai Consciousness and temporarily wield its authority.
Although that authority was limited to observing the world more conveniently, it was an immense temptation for the Flame-Chasers, who could not leave the Elysian Realm.
For the civilization they had spent their lives preserving, merely being able to take a look was enough to satisfy them.
But as agents, that was all they could do.
The Honkai Consciousness had long since been given a general direction. Unless Chen Luo logged in personally, no one else could change that direction. The agents could only alter a few insignificant details within that broader framework.
But Chen Luo could not log in right now, because he had not yet obtained that identity.
And becoming an agent did not come with only benefits. There were plenty of drawbacks as well.
For example, if one chose to be a secret keeper, they only needed to obediently sign the contract and then sit back and enjoy the benefits.
If Chen Luo lost, those secret keepers would not need to do anything, yet Chen Luo would still help grant their wishes.
