At this point, even setting Shien aside, Lumya and Merika had more or less grasped the situation.
"The Old Demon Faction."
Merika withdrew her mana and looked at the attacker she had unhesitatingly burned to a crisp, confirming the other party's identity.
If the attacker had not been a demon, Merika, an Elf born of nature, would never have been able to strike so decisively and burn them to death without mercy.
But from the moment she had decided to act until now, Merika's instincts as an Elf had not hesitated in the slightest. Only now, after coming to her senses, did she realize that she had killed an attacker with magic.
That alone was enough to confirm the attacker's identity.
And if they could confirm that the attacker was a demon, then who else could have attacked the camp and the escort party? Was it really that hard to guess?
Not only Merika—Lumya had guessed it too.
"W-What should we do?"
Lumya was starting to panic.
Merika was not much better.
Normally, the two of them relied primarily on Vivian and Tier. Now that neither Vivian nor Tier was by their side, they naturally felt completely at a loss.
Fortunately, Lumya and Merika were not the only ones here.
"Don't panic." Shien spoke to Lumya and Merika. "Now isn't the time to lose your heads. Stay alert and watch your surroundings. We don't know when more attackers might pop out."
Shien's words helped Lumya and Merika regain some of their composure.
Still, the two of them were deeply worried.
"Where is Sister Vivian now?"
Lumya murmured helplessly.
"What about Tier? Is she all right?"
Merika gripped her staff tightly, her face full of worry.
Shien, on the other hand, did not seem worried at all.
"Don't worry. They're fine."
