Limjo was left speechless.
Shien, on the other hand, looked at Limjo with an increasingly enigmatic expression.
"What is it? Weren't you going to come along?"
Shien spoke as though he were testing something.
That left Limjo even more unsure of what to say, while a sense of wariness rose within him.
(Is this a trap?)
Limjo considered that possibility.
It could not be helped. Shien should have known perfectly well that many people secretly resented him, yet if they could meet the Princess through him and make contact with her, they would never refuse.
When Vivian had brought Shien to meet Roxie, hadn't all those young noblemen swarmed around them like flies, hoping Vivian would introduce them so they could meet the Princess?
Now, Shien was far closer to Roxie than Vivian was. He could practically see the Princess every day, and he would spend at least an hour in her room each time. With a relationship like that, if Shien wanted to bring someone in with him, it would be an effortless matter.
Under such circumstances, Shien would surely think that if some young nobleman tried to befriend him and even asked to accompany him when he went to see the Princess, that person definitely had ulterior motives.
In other words, faced with such a situation, Shien would assume that someone was using him to meet the Princess and have him introduce them.
Shien would inevitably be wary of others because of that.
Limjo believed that this was why Shien had been neither warm nor cold toward him these past few days.
And Limjo did indeed have such intentions. He hoped to use Shien as a bridge to establish a connection with the Princess.
But Limjo knew he could not rush it, or he would surely ruin everything.
