"Slash!"
As a frigid flash of sword light mixed with a red Blade of Magic Power swept past, a savage wound appeared on the enormous body of the half-human, half-centipede monster amid the mountains and forests.
"Slash—slash—slash—"
Two figures streaked around the monster like shooting stars, darting and swooping endlessly about it. Every movement brought a red flash of sword light that slashed across the monster's body, leaving wound after wound on its massive frame.
"Gaaaa—!!!"
The monster let out a roar that could have been either pain or fury. Its centipede-like body thrashed wildly as it continuously spewed scorching Dragon Breath, blanketing the surrounding area in an attempt to vaporize the two figures that kept cutting into its body.
Unfortunately, the monster was far slower than the two of them. Though its massive thrashing body shook the earth and its scorching Dragon Breath burned the forest to ashes, turning the surroundings into charred wasteland, it could not touch either figure at all.
"Boom!"
The scorching Dragon Breath swept through once more in rage, scorching the ground apart as it closed in on one of the figures.
"Me again?"
Shien streaked forward at meteor-like speed, evading the storm-like scorching breath as he nearly ran out of words.
He was beginning to seriously suspect that this monster either had a grudge against men or a grudge against him specifically. It had been targeting him the entire time.
From the start of the battle until now, Roxie had clearly dealt no less damage to the monster than Shien had, yet it had attacked Shien far more often than her. It was practically insane.
"I haven't even learned a Taunt-type skill. Why me?"
