An invisible confrontation came to an end as everyone sat lost in their own thoughts.
Afterward, they all took their seats.
Shien and Roxie sat together on the same sofa.
Jacinta sat across from them, with the twin demons standing behind him, one on each side.
"I wonder what brings the two of you here to see me?" Jacinta asked with apparent interest. "Surely this is not merely a courtesy visit?"
Clearly, Jacinta had long guessed that Shien and Roxie had come with a purpose.
Setting Shien aside, Roxie had no intention of concealing it.
"It seems Your Excellency has been staying in the royal capital for quite some time this visit."
Roxie said as much.
"Indeed, I have stayed a little longer this time." Jacinta nodded, looking at Roxie with a faint smile. "Surely Your Highness has not come to drive me away?"
"Not to that extent." Roxie replied flatly. "It is simply that we are all curious about what reason has made Your Excellency choose to remain in the Human Realm, in the royal capital, all this time."
"I see. So it is not expulsion, but an inquiry into my conduct." Jacinta said pointedly. "After all, the royal capital of the Kingdom of Mithra is a place that could be called the center of the world. Many people come here and are drawn in by its prosperity and liveliness. Could I not simply have chosen to spend a little more time enjoying myself in the royal capital for that reason?"
"If Your Excellency merely wishes to enjoy yourself, then the kingdom naturally welcomes you." Roxie said without changing expression. "However, as far as we know, those around Your Excellency seem to have been making some unusual movements near the royal capital lately.
