It was an enormous canyon located west of the royal capital.
Inside the canyon was a world of monsters. Many different kinds of monsters lived there, and their levels were generally quite high. The deeper one ventured, the higher the monsters' levels became. This made it a treasure ground for many high-level adventurer parties, but it had also claimed the lives of countless famous adventurers. Thus, it was also known as "Death Canyon."
It was said that deep within the canyon lay a large Magic Power Source.
The Magic Power Source had been occupied by a terrifying level-ninety monster for a full four hundred years. It was practically the lord of the canyon. Even the kingdom found it difficult to crack this hard nut because of the terrain, allowing that dreadful monster to remain entrenched here without ever leaving.
However, while people feared that terrifying monster, it also did not dare leave the canyon and venture outside recklessly. It had always remained relatively well-behaved, so the kingdom turned a blind eye to its existence and allowed it to continue occupying the large Magic Power Source deep within the canyon.
For four hundred years, countless adventurers had entered this canyon to hunt monsters or search for all kinds of rare treasures. Even now, it remained a highly sought-after treasure ground in the adventuring world, with numerous adventurers coming here every day.
As long as they did not enter the deepest part of the canyon and merely explored the outer or inner regions according to their own strength, they would not disturb that terrifying monster.
For that reason, Arutol Canyon was considered one of the livelier places around the royal capital, frequently visited by all kinds of people.
