Above the evil-infused plain, a scream rang out without pause, startling the evil creatures below. One after another, they raised their heads, looked toward the sky, and howled at the air.
In midair, Shien was flying while holding Mafy, his face utterly lifeless.
Like an octopus, Mafy wrapped all four limbs tightly around Shien.
Even as she clung to him, she kept screaming nonstop.
Shien felt as though demonic sound was flooding his eardrums. It nearly rattled him dizzy and sent him soaring straight to heaven.
"Could you stop screaming?" Shien pleaded tearfully to the catgirl unleashing that demonic sound. "If you keep this up, I'm practically going to disappear from being screamed at. Please, spare my life, okay?"
"B-b-b-but!" Mafy clung tightly to Shien, her voice at least ten times louder than usual as she cried, "Why do we have to fly!?"
"Didn't I already explain it?" Looking like he was about to collapse, Shien staggered through his words. "There are so many evil creatures on the ground. If we walked, who knows how many times we'd get attacked? Instead of that, isn't it better to fly directly? It's faster too, right?"
That was why, after Mafy pointed out the direction, Shien had simply grabbed the catgirl and flown into the sky.
