"Phew."
After leaving the temple, the first thing Shien did was take a deep breath.
"First Generation Hero."
Thinking back to what Nadula had just told him, Shien felt a wave of complicated emotions.
He had never expected it.
He had never expected that, under those circumstances, he would hear the name "Nien" from Nadula.
And that name actually belonged to the First Generation Hero.
"What the hell is this?"
Shien did not know how to describe how he felt right now.
Because he had just learned another enormous mystery.
Was this merely a coincidence? Or was there something else behind it all?
Shien felt like his brain was about to stop being enough.
"That useless Goddess never explains anything. And now the mystery has finally gotten tangled up with you. How am I supposed to keep turning a blind eye?"
Shien silently sighed.
Even before this, Shien had known that there had to be some unknown reason behind why he had been summoned to this world a thousand years after the Demon Lord had been defeated.
Even though Nien had already explained that it was because of the Primal Demon, Shien had still found several holes in her explanation.
There had to be a deeper reason why he had been summoned to Omnipotens as a Hero.
Shien had not investigated that reason before.
Because he had not been strong enough.
It was obvious that this matter involved too much and was tied to whether peace among the Three Races could continue. Shien was not some overpowered protagonist who thought he could challenge heaven, earth, and the universe with nothing but a Holy Sword, so he had chosen not to dig into those secrets.
