Ragna
The Ragna Empire.
It was an exceedingly powerful military nation.
Like its neighboring Kingdom of Mithra, it had been founded by a former Hero. However, it had existed far longer than the Kingdom of Mithra and possessed a profoundly deep foundation.
It had once declined.
It had once been weak.
Yet, under the trials of time, it had endured and ultimately become the most powerful nation in the entire Human Realm. It was regarded as humanity's foremost great power, and in terms of military strength alone, even the Kingdom of Mithra, which had always enjoyed the God Race's favor, was slightly inferior to it.
If not for the Kingdom of Mithra having been founded by the strongest Hero who had successfully defeated the Demon King a thousand years ago, and receiving much favor from the God Race, then perhaps the Ragna Empire would have long since crushed the Kingdom of Mithra and claimed its territory for itself.
Even though it had lately shown a tendency to be surpassed by the Kingdom of Mithra, the Ragna Empire was, without question, still the number one military power in the Human Realm.
The greatest strength of this nation was its military, and force was likewise what it valued most.
Unlike the Kingdom of Mithra, which allowed nobles to establish their own private armies and Knights, the Ragna Empire also granted nobles the right to establish armies and Knights, but required them to do so in the name of the state. They were not permitted to possess private troops.
In other words, all armies and Knights established by nobles in the Empire technically belonged to the state. The nobles possessed the right to establish, recruit, and command them, but not the right of ownership. Whenever the Empire required it, all armies and Knights
