Several Green Goblin Gliders darted through Osborn Tower, their razor-sharp wings slicing effortlessly through human bodies. Darts fired from them claimed one life after another.
Fortunately, Osborn's main business was life sciences. Apart from those few Green Goblin Gliders, the tower only housed a handful of incompletely armed, half-finished combat robots, along with machines for everyday tasks and work, such as robotic vacuums and mechanical arms.
Even so, none of those machines were something the ordinary people inside the tower could handle. Under H.E.R.B.I.E.'s control, the Green Goblin Gliders and combat robots slaughtered indiscriminately, splattering the entire Osborn Tower with blood until it resembled hell.
At that moment, Reed Richards was the only superhuman in Osborn Tower. Johnny needed to keep a low profile and spent most of his time at home, while Susan had gone shopping. Ben was there, but he had chosen not to turn back into his rocky form.
As for Norman Osborn and his son Harry Osborn, they had gone to Ohio to negotiate a military contract.
On his own, Reed Richards had no way to save everyone in the tower.
"Damn it! H.E.R.B.I.E.! Stop right now!"
The only thing to be thankful for was that H.E.R.B.I.E.'s mainframe had been installed in Osborn Tower rather than Reed's own laboratory. Had it been in his lab, Reed would have had far more to deal with than a few Green Goblin Gliders and half-finished robots.
After taking down two robots, Reed raced downstairs, dodging attacks from the Green Goblin Gliders as he went.
Without eliminating H.E.R.B.I.E., the culprit behind all this, destroying the Green Goblin Gliders and robots would be pointless. Reed had to destroy H.E.R.B.I.E.'s mainframe before he transferred his core program elsewhere.
H.E.R.B.I.E.'s mainframe was not housed in Reed's laboratory. The computers in his lab were
