While Thor was locked in a fierce battle with Surtur and his lava legion in Muspelheim, a group of uninvited guests arrived in Asgard.
Equipped with cloaking devices specially made by the Dark Elves, this fleet, assembled from several allied factions, evaded the watchful eyes of Heimdall, the gatekeeper, and slipped silently into Asgard.
Only then did Heimdall detect the intruders. He sent a warning to Odin while attacking the enemies passing by the Bifrost.
Once Heimdall discovered them, the allied forces invading Asgard simply dropped their Invisibility Field, revealing a dark mass of assorted warships in the skies above Asgard.
Heimdall hurried to the Bifrost's control center and inserted his sword into it, activating the shield that protected the palace. As the golden shield rose, Asgard's Viking-style ships took to the air one after another and engaged the invading fleet.
Hearing the commotion outside, a disguised Corvus Glaive walked over to the energy barrier of his cell in Asgard's dungeon. He pressed his fingers together, thrust them into the barrier, and tore it open by force.
Corvus Glaive stepped out of his cell, dispatched the dungeon guards, and opened every cell.
"Loki, where are the things you promised Thanos?"
Leaving the freed prisoners to wreak havoc, Corvus Glaive approached Loki's cell.
Seeing one of Thanos's subordinates in Asgard sent Loki into a panic. He maintained a stiff smile while trying to defend himself.
"The Tesseract is in Asgard's vault. From a certain perspective, I've already succeeded halfway. I was planning to find a way out of here and then deliver the Tesseract to Thanos. I didn't expect you to be so impatient and come looking for me so soon."
