"Father!"
A short while later, Thor and Loki arrived together. Seeing how weak Odin looked, Thor stumbled over to his side, ignoring his own injuries.
Loki, meanwhile, was still sulking. Though worry lurked in his eyes, his feet remained firmly planted where he stood, and he pretended not to care.
Odin glanced at Loki and sighed helplessly. "There is still so much I want to tell you, but unfortunately, I don't have much time left..."
Hearing that, Loki could no longer keep up the act. He hurried over and crouched beside Odin.
"I'm sorry, my sons. Now, please don't interrupt. Listen to me..."
Even speaking left Odin short of breath now. He could only keep his words flowing by pausing frequently.
"Ragnarok has already begun. She... is coming..."
Thor hesitated, wanting to say something. He was about to explain that he had already dealt with Surtur when Odin dropped a revelation that stunned him-he actually had an older sister!
Hela, the Goddess of Death, was Odin's first child. She had once fought alongside him as he conquered the Nine Realms, but the endless slaughter had gradually made her cruel and violent. As her ambitions grew, she had even tried to kill her father and seize the throne of Asgard.
Although Hela's attempt to usurp the throne had ultimately failed, Odin still could not bring himself to kill his own child. And as his firstborn, Hela had something special about her: her power came from Asgard. As long as she remained there, her strength was inexhaustible.
With no other choice, Odin had banished Hela to Niflheim, constantly maintaining the seal with his own divine power to prevent her from escaping and wreaking havoc.
"Though this day was always going to come, it seems... to have arrived a little sooner than I
